SOCCER
Practices: May 26 – July 22
Boys/Girls grades 1–6

Kids will learn soccer basics. Meet between ball
fields with their own soccer ball, shin guards and
running shoes. Cost $20.00
For boys and girls grades 7-12, depending on
interest and coach availability. Please complete
form at park & rec sign up to determine availability.
Grade level refers to the 2014–2015 school year unless indicated.
SIGN–UP INFORMATION:
Registration for recreation activities will be held at the
Sioux Valley School Commons Area on Tuesday, March
24 from 4:00–7:00 pm and Wednesday, March 25 from
2:00–6:00 pm. Payment for all programs (except camps)
and sign–up for each activity is due at registration. Fees
must be paid in full. Participants not registered by April
15 may be subject to a $5.00 per program late fee as well
as space availability.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The City of Volga does not discriminate on the basis of
special needs in the admission or access to, treatment
or employment in its programs or activities. The Volga
Parks and Recreation Department will attempt to make
alternative accommodations to persons with special
needs. Please advise of any special needs at registration.
In case of inclement weather during scheduled Volga
Recreation and Pool activities, local radio stations KBRK
1430 and KJJQ 910 will be notified, and a message will be
posted on facebook. A message will also be left on the
pool/recreation phone answering machine (627–5243).
PARENTS:
Coaches must be notified if a child is not able to attend a
practice/game or has any medical conditions that restrict
participation. Children should be reminded to wear proper
attire to ALL practices and games. Please keep this
brochure for your records.

video and review safety rules. Kids will ride a BATA
bus through town and talk about high-risk areas.

available for students entering grades 4, 5 and 6.
Students will be involved in numerous hands-on,
STEM activities. The camp will be held at Sioux
Valley Schools. If other park & rec activities interfere

come and go to accommodate those needs. More
information will be provided at sign-up.
SUMMER LIBRARY PROGRAM

SUMMER THEATER CAMP

For boys and girls grades 4–8 interested in
musical theater. Students will sing, do actions/
choreography, learn lines, and create sets. The
camp will end in a final concert production on
July 16 (time to be determined: either early
evening or late afternoon concert).
