*****************************IMPORTANT NOTES:****************************
1. This meet and time schedule is VERY TIGHT as original numbers were inaccurate and
additional gymnasts have been added. We feel we can have a SUCCESSFUL and FUN
meet but it will take everyone working together. PLEASE read all these notes and
communicate with your athletes, families and staff! Working together it is going to be a
great day!
2. Irregular Session Assignments: The levels assigned to the specific sessions is different
than our standard session protocol. Please make sure your athletes know the correct
time they are assigned to attend and show up on time. Due to mandates and predicted
numbers there is a good chance that a session could run longer than scheduled, we will
do our best to run on time but there are several factors and gymnast numbers that are
impossible to calculate accurately to have a more exact schedule. If we are able to run
ahead of schedule we will! Nothing will start prior to the arrival time for each
session. Please arrive on time for the correct session.
3. Meet efficiency: We have made several adjustments to the time schedule to make it fit
within the day and help us run efficiently. Here are some important issues to be aware
of:
a. Arrival Rotation: Gymnasts for the first session will report upstairs and after a
short stretching time, Timed Warm Ups will begin. Athletes Gym Bags will be
placed in the wrestling room beside the upper gym. Athletes arriving to later
sessions will report to a lower gym location to stretch and do some BASIC warm
up skills. When the session before them ends the gymnast upstairs will gather
their belongings and move downstairs for awards, next session gymnasts will
move upstairs place their belongings in the wrestling room and move into the
gym to begin Timed Warm Ups! Please have a staff member help with this warm
up, movement and monitoring your athletes.
b. Open Gym is essentially nonexistent, gymnasts will use this time to move from
the downstairs stretching and warm up area to upstairs and Timed Warm Ups.
Be prepared for this and have staff available to help your next session athletes
be in the right place and getting ready for the meet.
c. Timed Warm Ups are very tight, be ready for them, practice ahead of time so
you are ready for a short condensed warm up period.
d. No March IN: We will not have a regular march in where we clear the gym and
parade in. This is being done to save time. Following Timed Warm Ups gymnasts
will move to their first event, Judges and Teams will be introduced at their event,
the Pledge will be said and competition will begin. Gymnasts need to be
prepared for this and either warm up in their competition attire or have another
solution to change. Gymnasts will NOT have time to change following Timed
Warm Ups and the start of Competition. Be ready.
e. Communication & Up and Ready: We need to be ready to go on the next event
as it becomes available, communicate with the team following you when you
have 5-6 gymnasts left to go with a specific judge so they can prepare and move
kids over and ready to compete AS SOON as your last girl goes. We need to be up
and ready and use helpful communication as these little delays between
gymnasts can really add to the time schedule in a tight meet. Let’s really work
together to stay on schedule or ahead of schedule!
f. Levels & Mandates: Please know your athlete’s levels and the session they are
assigned to, this is especially important for optionals that may have mandated. I
will try and send you an updated roster that shows current mandates the week
of the meet. Please communicate with your athletes so everyone is at the right
session.
4. Tight Seating: This is a very full day with over 100 athletes in each session of
competition, seating is limited in the upper gym where this meet will take place. If at all
possible, this is NOT the meet for additional and extended family members to
attend. We want every athlete to be supported and encouraged but suggest for
additional family and friends to come support them at Regionals rather than this regular
season meet.
5. Arrive on Time! Next session will start with Open warm up at Arrival time and time
schedule move up if previous session finishes ahead of schedule.
