Three people per team, (two must be 17 years old or younger), proof of
age may be required.
All Sport Fishing and Coast Guard Regulations apply, anyone caught
breaking these regulations may be disqualified
Registration and rules review will take place the morning of the
tournament 1 ½ half prior to blast off. Fishing hours will be from 9:00AM
– 4:00PM commencing by a trickle start. Any team returning late may be
disqualified.
Your tether kill switch operation inspection will take place from 8:15am –
8:45am at the main dock and every team’s boat must be operational.
A maximum of 5 fish, (walleye or sauger) will be allowed to be measured.
You may only have 3 fish in the livewell at any time and culling is
allowed.
Mandatory use of barbless hooks.
Only 1 fish over 86 cm will be allowed for measurement. No fish may be
kept between 55 – 86 cm.
Stressed fish will be penalized by 25%, any dead fish will be disqualified.
Prizes will be awarded in order of the team’s combined length overall and
awarded to the angler and young angler on a separate basis. In the case of
a tie, the team’s heaviest fish will determine the winner.
Everyone must wear their lifejacket at all times.
Every team must be present for a group photo at the end of the tournament
In order to be eligible for prizes each team must return and report to the
main dock by no later than 4:00PM.
Prizes will be awarded at approximately 5:30PM following Supper.
Any disputes will be settled by the Event Director, and not the Lund AYA
Organization.
All entries not necessarily accepted and a 20% overbook may be accepted.
There will be no refunds once an entry has been accepted.
Tournament to be held Saturday, June 10, 2017. In the event of inclement
weather the make-up date will be Sunday, June 11, 2017. Cancelation due
to weather conditions (at the discretion of the organizing committee) will
result in the cancelation of the tournament and all prizes will be awarded
by draw. Must be present to be eligible for the draw.
Age 16 to 64 must possess a valid fishing license and a valid Pleasure
Craft Operator Card.
Must possess a valid Resort Village of Tobin Lake Facilities Pass.
The tournament boundaries are located between the mouth of the River
and E.B. Campbell Damn. Refer to your map of Tobin Lake.
PARTICIPATION RELEASE – READ BEFORE SIGNING
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Tobin Lake Lund AYA
Tournament; the Undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this tournament is significant to myself
and youth anglers that I am responsible for, including the potential for permanent
paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline
may reduce this risk, the risk of injury does exist: and
2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS for myself and youth
anglers that I am responsible for, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING
FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full
responsibility for my participation; and
3. I willingly agree to comply with the applicable rules and regulations for participation
for myself and youth anglers that I am responsible for. If, however, I or the youth
anglers that I am responsible for observe any unusual significant hazard during my
presence or participation, I will remove myself and the youth anglers I am
responsible for from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest
official immediately; and
4. All participants are required to act with due care for their own safety and the safety of
others while participating in the tournament and any related activities. Angler &
Young Angler Fishing Tournaments Inc. (AYA) and the Resort Village of Tobin Lake
(RVTL) does not assume any liability or responsibility for any participant. AYA and
RVTL will not be responsible for any personal injury to participants or for any loss of
or damage to the personal property of participants, while participating in the
tournament.
5. I, for myself and the youth anglers I am responsible for and on behalf of my heirs,
assigns, personal representative and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY,
AND HOLD HARMLESS Angler & Young Angler Fishing Tournaments Inc., and
Resort Village of Tobin Lake and their affiliates and each of their respective
members, owners, officers, directors, governors, employees, agents,
representatives, contractors, successors and assigns, officials, volunteers, other
participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners
and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“Releasees”), WITH RESPECT
TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or
property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES
OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
