The 10th Regional Conference on Energy Engineering (RCEneE2017) “Energy Sufficiency and Efficiency through Regional Collaboration” _________________________________________________________________________ Styling and Formatting Guidelines for the Extended Abstract Extended Abstract should be outlined in the maximal of two A4 pages of text and one page of tables/figures. Sample Title for Extended Abstract Submitted to RCEneE2017 The title should be clear and concise and should be written in the maximum of two lines. Special characters should not be included in the title. The title must clearly reflect the content. Author Name*1), Author Name2), initials then surnames, separated by commas 1) Affiliation 2) Affiliation * Corresponding author’s email address Keywords: Three to five keywords and must be separated by semicolons (;) Introduction All paragraphs are indented and justified [11pt Times New Roman]. The Introduction section should clearly state the background and the objectives of your work. No extensive nor detailed literature review is needed for an extended abstract but it should cover include accomplishments with pertinent literature to your work. Material and Methods This section should include a brief description of the methods/techniques used in your work. Detailed explanation of the principles of these methods is unnecessary if they are already easily accessible in the references or standard texts). Results and Conclusions This section should clearly summarise major experimental results or outcomes of the performed study. Any special trends or points of interest should be highlighted. All major results presented in the extended abstract should be soundly supported and/or proved by graphical presentations, tabular results or other means of presentation. The review process of the submitted abstract is merely based on the materials provided at the point of submission and will not consider any expected further accomplishments to be provided in the near future either in conference presentation or full paper. If results are to presented in a tabular form or by using graphical presentations, the following formats for tables and figures must be used. The 10th Regional Conference on Energy Engineering (RCEneE2017) “Energy Sufficiency and Efficiency through Regional Collaboration” _________________________________________________________________________ Figures and tables should appear in numerical order, be described in the body of the text and be positioned close to where they are cited first. Ensure that all figures and tables will fit inside the text area. All figures should be labelled clearly and all the components of the figures must be easily readable in black-and-white printing. Table 1.1 This is a style for Table Titles. “Table 1.1, 1.2 etc” should be in bold. Table captions should appear above tables and be aligned properly with the tables. Please include your table here. Please include your figure here. Figure 1.1 This is a style for Figure legends. “Figure 1.1, 1.2 etc” should be in bold. Figure legends should appear below figures and be aligned properly with the figures. References For citation in the main text use surname of author and year of publication: Jones (2002) or (Jones, 2002). Insert initials only if there are two different authors with the same surname and same year of publication. The abbreviation "et al." should be used in the text when there are more than two co-authors of a cited paper. References should be listed alphabetically at the end of the outline paper. Although "et al." is preferable in the text, in the list of references all authors should be given. Andrews, J. F. (1993), Modeling and simulation of wastewater treatment processes. Wat. Sci. Tech., 28(11/12), 141–150. Billing, A. E. (1987), Modelling techniques for biological systems. M.Sc. thesis, Dept Chem. Eng., Univ. of Cape Town, Rondebosch 7700, South Africa.
