LEVICE CASTLE
• one of the main dominants of Levice
• historical object from 13th century.
• next to the castle is small tea house, where you can go and
have a cup of tea
TEKOVIAN MUSEUM
• next to the castle
• you can see many exhibits from 19th to 20th century.
EDUCATION AND SOCIAL ACADEMY
• dominante of Levice
• the oldest secondary
school in Slovakia
• it looks like castle
ŠIKLÓŠ
• One of the biggest travertine*
• It is located near Levice
• On the top is view tower

there are four swimming pools
campsite with 250 beds
electricity for tents and caravans

Ok! You have seen
Levice. Now we can
move to Brhlovce.
They are very
important for history.
• the most interesting thing is: that these
„buildings“ are cut into the rocks (tuf)
• people used it as a protection from Turkish
army later as a home for poor
• now it is used only as a historical monument

• the most interesting thing of this thermal
water is that natural minerals can go through
our skin to our body and protect us from some

• Plášťovce is a village in the Levice District in
the Nitra Region of Slovakia
• in historical records the village was first
mentioned in 1156

I heard that in Pukanec
are amazing „párance“.
PUKANEC MARKET
• is called Pukanské remeselnícke trhy
• you can find there food stalls – typical food is
párance [It is a special pasta (for example with
curd, sugar, potatoes etc)]

• there are 6 altars

have a look at some
monastery or church
Maybe we will see
monks.

haven’t seen any

go to Tekov to see Folk
Festival
• every year there is Tekov folk Festival
• reconstruction of historic battles on Hron- boje na
Hrone
• there is also church of the Assumption from 13th
century
• between the villages of Starý and Nový Tekov goes
the ferry on the river Hron

Now we should do
some sport! We can
go to Tlmače!
• trought Tlmače flows the 2nd longest river in Slovakia Hron
• you can borrow surf or water ski
• In tlmače You can run maraton called Tlmačská 25
• There is also festival TLMAČSKÉ ČINOHRANIE

Watermill
it is used as a museum but it is still working
opened since 1978
rebuilt in 1911
there is part for living and also technical part
