What does Special Olympics mean
to me?
• Special Olympics means that I can show off my
achievements and to share them with others. I want to
show the world what people with disability can do. All I
want is to be treated like any one else who doesn’t have
a disability. Special Olympics have opened a few doors
for me they gave me a chance to speak in prisons in
Mount joy & Wheatfield. It means a lot to me because I
want to become someone that people would look up to
and to inspire them. Doing public speaking and to
organize and participate in events which is great of me
because I get to have the experience that I need. This is
great because I want to become someone that people
would notice me.
How does this affect my life
• This affects my life in many ways:
• It gave me a chance to speak in Mountjoy
and in Wheatfield.
• So I get to mix with people who have
disabilities and people that don’t.
• I love to mix with people who don’t have
any disabilities.
• I also feel that
exercise is very
important and to have
the right balance
even with people who
have disabilities find it
more difficult to do
this but keep in mind
that you need to keep
motivated and to be
strong.
Special Olympic Clubs
• I am involved in the South Dublin Sports Club and in the
Viking Swimmers these are my Special Olympic Clubs.
• This is great for me because I love to compete in
competitions it is great this brings out my competitive
side.
• My top two sports that I love and that I am passionate
about are athletics and swimming but I hope that
trampling should become a Special Olympic sport
because I love to trampoline I am passionate about this.
