Make a Match Memory Game
Object:
Have the most points at the end of the game.
Rules
Contents:
48 Make-a-Match cards and the Elf on the Shelf® Scout Elf Figure.
Set Up:
Shuffle the cards and place them face down in eight rows of six cards across.
All cards should be used.
Playing:
The youngest player starts by turning over any two cards so all players can
see them. If the two cards match, that player collects those two cards and
gets to take one extra turn (even if the player gets a match on the second
turn). If the two cards do not match, put them back where they were, face
down, and the player to the left now takes their turn and follows the same
rules.
Special Cards: There are three types of special cards in the deck:
Take Elf
When you match a pair of “Take Elf” cards, you get
to take the Scout Elf figure from the table or from the
player who has him. There are several pair of Take
Elf cards so the Scout Elf figure can move throughout
the game. At the end of the game, the player who
has the Scout Elf figure gets bonus points.
Wild Card:
When you turn over this card, any other card you pick
with this becomes an instant pair.
Lose a Pair
When you match a pair of “Lose a Pair” cards, you
lose one of the pairs in your stack. Return your pair
and the Lose a Pair cards back to the box.
Ending and Winning the Game:
When all of the cards have been matched, the game is over. Each player
counts the number of cards in their stack. Each card is worth one point. The
player who has the Scout Elf figure gets four extra points. The player with the
most points wins the game.
