School to which the position is attached
Grenoble INP-Génie industriel trains engineers with a global vision of firms. They design and develop production
systems in the fields of manufacturing or services. They are able to imagine and carry out innovative technical
and organisational solutions. Their decisions take into account economical aspects as well as human dimensions.
They are keenly aware of their role and responsibility towards society, in particular sustainable issues.
The school's training is international and multi-disciplinary. It addresses all types of industrial challenges. One of
its tools is the GI-Nova platform for prototyping and simulating production systems. Another is the GAEL
platform for Experimental Economics (measurement of consumer’s value, product and process acceptability,
institutional design, etc.). It comprises 40 teaching staff and 20 administrative and technical staff members. 150
engineering degrees are awarded each year in 2 major fields: Product Design and Supply Chain Management.
Economics and social sciences occupy a key place in our teaching program; as our engineers will be able to
handle value and costs, coordination and motivation, industrial competition and cooperation, organisational and
market design, firm strategies and public regulation.

specialized in the economics of innovation (mainly but not exclusively biotechnology) and in the economics of
consumption (mainly food, but not exclusively either). The methodologies used in the lab are Modelling,
Econometrics and Experimental Economics (in particular field experiments).
