RESIZING AN IMAGE IN PAINT & UPLOADING TO D2L PROFILE
In PAINT (Windows)
1. Open the Paint Program
(Click Start, Click All Programs, Click Accessories, Click Paint)
2. Click the Paint button
3. Click Open
Browse to find the image you want to resize.
4. Click the image and click Open (the image
should appear in Paint)
5. On the Home tab, in the Image group, click
Resize.
6. In the Resize and Skew dialog box, select Pixels
7. Enter new Horizontal and Vertical dimensions.
For the D2L profile image, the recommended
size is no larger than 150 x 150 pixels.
Depending on the original image size, you
may want to select the “Maintain aspect
ratio” check box so that the resized picture
will have the same aspect ratio as the
original picture
8. Click OK (the image should be adjusted)
9. Click the Paint button and Select Save as
10. Type a new file name in the File name box, Save as type should be .jpeg
11. Click Save
In D2L
1. From D2L, on the My Home page, click your name in the minibar.
2. Click Profile
3. Click the Change Picture
4. In the Select a Profile Picture window that appears, click
Upload
5. Browse to find the image and double click on the file
you would like to use in your profile picture
6. Click Add
7. Click Save and Close
Note: To remove the image for your profile in D2L, follow above steps,
however, click the trash can image, click Remove, and click Save and Close.
