 The Trans Tasman Exchange will include a NZ SS Squash Team of 20 players including 5 Senior
Boys (School Years 11-13), 5 Senior Girls (School Years 11-13), 5 Junior Boys (Years 9-10) and 5
Junior Girls (Years 9-10).
 Dates for this exchange are Sunday 20th August until Saturday 26th August.
 The exchange involves 4 days of play in a triangular tournament with both Queensland and New
South Wales. This tournament is held in Rockhampton, Queensland. The final day of play (Thursday)
will involve a test match between the NZ side and a combined Australian team.
 Players selected for the shortlist (8-10 players) will be asked for a deposit of $300 by the end of July.
Only Shortlisted players are eligible for the NZSS Squash Team. Players not selected at the
National Tournament will be refunded in full. The total cost for players is expected to be around
$1800.
 Selection will be based on a combination of tournament performance, current grading and recent
results prior to the NZSS National Tournament in Palmerston North 4-6th August. Only players
attending this tournament are eligible for selection.
 Only players nominated by the due date by the relevant Secondary School will be considered for
selection. Selectors will create the team shortlist and meet to finalise the final team selection on the
Saturday night of the NZSS Squash Nationals. Sunday games between players may not be
considered.
