Head Coach Academy Programs JOB DESCRIPTION NORTH SHORE GIRLS SOCCER CLUB June 2015 Overview
The North Shore Girls Soccer Club (“NSGSC”) is one the largest clubs in Canada with 2600
registered youth girls and 300 women. The Club's Mission is "to provide all players the
opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and rewarding environment that emphasizes fun, fair
play and skill development at a level that fits their interest and ability, and to create a challenging
environment for players who aspire to reach their full potential."
The NGSGC has been very successful in providing a variety of development programs for all
age groups, and we are the service provider to the North Vancouver School District for its high
school soccer academy program for boys and girls. The NSGSC provides many of our programs
through our indoor soccer facility ("the Bubble"), which is the largest of its kind in BC.
The NSGSC is seeking to hire a full time Head Coach - Academy Programs prior to
commencement of the 2015-16 season. The ideal candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm
for working with female soccer players and volunteer coaches.
Head Coach of Academy Programs will oversee and manage the NSGSC academy programs
under the direction of the Technical Director
Duties & Responsibilities

Coach in academy programs as outlined by technical director
Management of groupings and player assessments through the year
Help support the creation of age appropriate curriculum
Manage and Oversee academy coaches
Oversee the progression of players holistically (physical, technical/tactical, social/emotional,
mental)
Provide player evaluations
Provide coach feedback and support
Be a connection to parents with questions / information /feedback
Hours of work will be during weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends. The
position will be 30-40 hours each week
Competencies & Skills Required
1. Minimum National B Coaching License or international equivalent
2. Knowledge of and support for the Canadian Soccer Association’s Long Term Player
Development (LTPD) model and Wellness To World Cup framework.
3. Experience with coaching female soccer player and the design of associated technical
programs.
4. Is in good standing with governing bodies of soccer (Local, Provincial and National).
5. Must be fluent in English.
6. Must undergo a Criminal Record Check
Compensation
Annual compensation will be based on experience.
