Inserting pictures
Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0 Professional or later is required to insert pictures into a PDF file.
Pictures of the samples are not included on the Web site. Listed below are steps for
inserting pictures into a PDF document.
Copying the picture:
1. After gathering the respective pictures on the computer,
a. Open the picture in a photo editing program like Adobe®
Photoshop®
or b. Insert the picture in another program like Microsoft® Word (Fig.
1).

2. Select the picture and choose Edit>Copy.
Inserting the picture into a PDF document:
1. Open the sample card
2. Click the View menu and find the option listed Snap to Grid. If there is a
checkmark, deselect it so there is no checkmark (Fig. 2). This will allow
greater freedom to move the picture around in the document.

3. Go to the toolbar and select Commenting>Stamp Tool>Paste Clipboard
Image as Stamp Tool (Fig. 3).

4. Next, click anywhere in the document. The picture is now inserted in the
document.
5. To move the picture, select the Hand Tool. Click and hold the mouse to
move the picture around (Fig. 4).

6. To resize the picture, select the Hand Tool, and while holding down the
Shift key, drag one of the picture’s handles to resize it (Fig. 5).

7. To delete a picture, right click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS)
the picture and select Delete from the menu (Fig. 6).
