Popular beginner model in a new look – the new Sport
For the new model year the popular Sport also presents itself in a new look. With new, fresh product graphics the exterior of the Sport alone demonstrates where the swallows fly. And also the
rear of the beginner model is in no way inferior to its brothers and sisters and in the new model
year also features the familiar new rear light assembly including the new-developed rear lights.
But the new Sport does not only look great from the outside. A glance into the interior immediately shows the new upholstery design. The new room feeling is further supported by the new ceiling lamp that additionally emphasises the harmonious overall impression.

Südwind - The bestseller celebrates its 50th anniversary
It is exactly 50 years ago that the first Südwind left the production line and was presented to the
public in spring 1962. No other model from a Knaus series has ever written a nearly comparable
and lasting success story. Today, half a century later, it is time once again to present a new model.
A TRUE KNAUS: THE SAME „LOOK“
As an established member in the Knaus family the new Südwind starting with the coming model
year 2013 of course also features the family look that is already known from the new motorhomes:
Newly developed hybrid rear lights with glowing elements, as they are already used in cars, now
give the caravan evergreen a new rear „family look“. The side wall design also underwent further
development and now features new product graphics. The new exterior of the Südwind is completed by the high-quality Pro.tec frame with circumferential aluminium profile strips for optimal
edge protection.
INTERIOR: PURE HARMONY AND WELL-BEING
New developments seamlessly continue in the interior of the Südwind. When entering the caravan
through the new entrance element, the new kitchen immediately shows the completely new furniture design. Available either with a length of more than two metres and with 108 litre refrigerator,
or as standard module with large 190 litre refrigerator, the spacious kitchen leaves nothing to be
desired. Precious chrome fittings, a pull-out coffee machine, and highly practical additional elements such as a kitchen roll holder, complete the optimal kitchen equipment. An integrated new
cooker with optimised knobs provides additional comfort. Softclose drawer slides and high-quality
hinges at the stowage compartment doors provide a perfect design and outstanding functionality.
The harmoniously matched ambience light system guarantees a perfect atmosphere of wellbeing.
ERGONOMICS AND BENEFIT IN PERFECTION
Ergonomic aspects also were of great importance in the new development of the Südwind. For
example, the round seating group was re-designed and equipped with ergonomically shaped seat
cushions for lumbar support. Integrated in the cushion, the seat box cover in the new Südwind can
be opened with outstanding ease and comfort. Additional corner elements provide more stowage
possibilities in the corners of the seating group. In general, compared to the predecessor model
many details have been optimised in the new Südwind. For example, the complete electrical system now is contained and protected in the wardrobe. The Truma-Therme shut-off valves now also
are perfectly protected by way of an injection-moulded part. A sophisticated ventilation system
guarantees optimal rear ventilation of all the relevant and critical places in the whole caravan.

"Exclusive" really means exclusive
The small and unobtrusive "Exclusive" label really means the subtle difference: The Südwind
Exclusive - absolute premium-class in design and function - also in the new model year 2013.
In addition to the many highlights of the Südwind, the Exclusive as standard features a USB port
above the seating group and thus meets the increased demands of today's customers for adequate and up-to-date charging possibilities. For the Südwind Exclusive 580 FDK, 580 UF, and 750
UFK layouts the "ALDE hot-water floor heating" can furthermore be ordered as an option.
