INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION TO MASTERS PROGRAMME THROUGH
CCMT-2016 FOR THE SESSION 2016-17
[ALL CONCERNED ARE REQUESTED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY]
The Admission to M.Tech Programmes at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela through CCMT2016 conducted by NIT Surathkal will be held during 21st July, 2016 (Thursday) & 22nd July,
2016 (Friday).
For the same, candidates who are allotted NIT Rourkela are required to fill necessary details at NIT
Rourkela online portal: http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in till 20.07.2016, 11:59 PM. The online
portal will open on 11th July 2016. Candidates who are allotted NIT Rourkela are required to report
physically and take admission at NIT Rourkela as per the following schedule:

Admission Procedure:
For admission, candidates are required to bring the following documents in ORIGINAL with a
photocopy (attestation not required) of each.

Printout of the “Online Enrollment form” & “Address Slips” obtained from http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in
Provisional admission letter in original received from CCMT 2016 [Original will be retained].
Letter on subsequent upgradation, downloaded from CCMT website (last round allotment), even if there is
no upgradation.
Pass Certificate of High School Certificate Examination/Equivalent Examination/Birth certificate for proof of
date of birth [Original + 1 photocopy, Original will be returned].
Mark sheet/Pass Certificate of Qualifying Examination [Original will be returned].
Memorandum of Marks of all Examinations starting from HSC onwards.
School (College) Leaving/ Migration Certificates, [(any one) in case other is not issued by the school/Board],
from the Institution last attended [Original will be retained].
Conduct/Character Certificate from the Institution last attended [Original will be retained].
Three (03) Recent Passport size coloured photographs [preferably white/sky blue background].
Recent Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Handicapped / OBC-non creamy certificate (eligibility
as per declaration by GOI) for claiming reservation. The date of issue of the OBC/PH certificates should
be as per CCMT- 2016 guidelines.

Admission Fee:
Fee receipt towards payment of balance Institute fee.
[Institute fee Rs. 77,500/- for M.Tech students]
 Balance of Institute fee after adjusting initial fee deposited to CCMT- 2016
 Rs. 47,500/- for all students those who have been allotted seats in Round 1,2,3 (except
SC/ST candidates)
 Rs. 12,500/- for SC, ST students allotted seat in Round 1,2,3
 Rs. 32,500/- for SC, ST and PWD students allotted seat in NSR
 Rs. 37,500/- for OP and OBC students allotted seat in NSR

Payment of balance Institute fee will be done through Online banking/NEFT in the e-application portal
http:// eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in under “Pay Admission Fee” link. The portal for payment will be opened on
11thJuly, 2016. Students are advised to bring the payment receipt to the admission center at the time of
reporting.
Notes
1. It may so happen that fees in the different heads (including tuition fee) may be increased by
the concerned authorities. In such case, students are required to pay the increased fee in
addition to above mentioned fees.
2. Hostel will be allotted at the time of admission and students are required to come prepared for
staying in the hostel from the date of admission since there is no time to go back and come
again.
3. Please note that NIT, Rourkela is a fully residential Institute and permission to stay outside is
granted only in rare cases. Permission from Dean (Academic) needs to be obtained for the
purpose of staying outside a hostel. Dean (Academic) should be convinced about the
genuineness of the need as well as about the facility available for pursuing studies in the
alternative accommodation. Permission to stay outside the hostel may be granted after a
student has been admitted to a hall and paid all starting dues. Students permitted to stay
outside will not be allotted a room, nor will they be required to pay mess dues in future. Their
mess advance will be refunded after adjustment of dues if any (e.g. establishment fee, special
functions etc.). It may be noted that such students need to pay hostel seat rent, establishment
fee and fees for special functions every semester till completion of their programme.
Location:
NIT Rourkela is around 8 kms away from the railway station. Applicants may hire an auto and reach
the Institute. The minimum auto fare is Rs. 110/-.
Refund Rule:
Once a student is admitted and if a student is removed or withdraws/leaves the Institute without
completing the entire programme, all fees paid including the caution deposit will be forfeited by the
Institute. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues, if any.
Accommodation:
On arrival they will be given hostel accommodation on producing of admission letter issued from CCMT
2016 in the chief warden’s office for clarification on accommodation, if any. Applicants may contact in the
