Dear Parents,
The 2016 Walk-a-Thon will be held outside on 72nd Street (weather permitting) on Friday, November 18th! This
event is an important fundraiser for our school. Come join us to cheer, show your support and be part of our
OLGCA community.
Please read the following guidelines:
 Each Child in Option A: is responsible for a minimum of $50.oo in Sponsors. Please attach your checks
to the Sponsor Sheet and return to school by November 14th.
 The Early Bird Mystery Bonus: is due November 3rd, 2016. If your sponsor sheets are returned with
monies collected, the child’s will receive a MYSTERY BONUS.
 Prizes, Awards and Dress Down Passes: will be determined by your Sponsor Donations brought to
school BEFORE the Walk-a-thon deadline which is November 14th. All monies collected after this date
will not count towards any prizes.
 All children will report to school at their regular time. Nursery and Pre-K will be dismissed at
approximately 9:15 a.m., after they have walked their laps. ALL Grades from Kindergarten to 8 th
Grade will be dismissed at 12 Noon. A snack and drink will be provided for the children. If your child
is going to Extension, please send them in with their lunch.
 Option B Families: if you would like to enlist sponsors and become eligible for any prizes, you are more
than welcome to do so.
 Creativity Award Winners: all members of the winning class Grades K through 8th Grade will receive 3
N.U.T. Day passes. Each class competes as a homeroom in the Creativity competition. Creativity will
be scored on the following categories: Song, Appearance and Spirit. This year the competition will be
divided into 3 groups; K to 2nd Grade, 3rd to 5th Grade and 6th to 8th Grade.
 Blue vs. Gold Teams: Teams will be decided by random drawings to assign classes the Blue or Gold
Teams. All Students on the winning team will receive 3 N.U.T. Day passes. Only Money Returned by
Monday, November 14th Counts toward the Winning Team.
