LEGO® and Construction: Build Every Day
TOLEDO, Ohio – On Saturday, January 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Imagination Station and the
Associated General Contractors of Northwest Ohio are partnering to bring representatives from local
trade associations and businesses to the science center to show off how they use Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) every day.
Representatives from the participating organizations will host activity tables around the science center
to provide information about their organizations while utilizing fun, hands-on activities. Visitors will have
the opportunity to explore the different organizations and discover how they use STEM in their day-today operations. All activities are included with admission.
Participating organizations include:

 Associated General Contractors of Northwest Ohio
 Chas E. Phipps Company
 DGL Consulting Engineers
 Explorer Scouts™
 Northwest Ohio Construction Education Center
 Ohio Department of Transportation
 UA Local 50
STEM education is important and Imagination Station aims to build an understanding as to what
careers actually use STEM each day. Trade professions are a vital part in the community and ensure
that the infrastructure that the community relies on is functional, maintained and updated.

a wide variety of financially rewarding careers. The one common denominator across all of our career
paths is a need for an advanced understanding of mathematic and scientific concepts. Our
professionals work with their hands and their heads every day using Algebra, Trigonometry and

Counsel of the Associated General Contractors of Northwest Ohio.
