The design process Creating the content The Platform We help educators and administrative leaders optimize teaching, learning and student achievement using evidencedbased solutions informed by cognitive and learning science. Smart Author Smart Author is a powerful authoring and data analytics platform that enables higher education institutions to develop and scale personalized, adaptive learning. Learning science drives Acrobatiq course design. • Formative practice is key, as more doing has 6x the effect size on learning than more reading • Formative practice drives the analytics engine and learning dashboards • Over 98% of students answer formative questions until they get them correct • Targeted feedback provides additional learning for users Learning Dashboards are populated by data and Learning Estimates, and are a resource for instructors to get in-depth analysis of their students as they move through the course. Iterative improvement is a key concept for Acrobatiq. A course-check tool called the Readiness Report gives insight into course functionality and actionable steps to improve it. This can be used at course creation as well as a starting point for revision cycles. Questions??
