SIPLACE SmartFeeder X
Always at top speed
Feeders that are easy to operate and switch out play an important role in modern
production environments with frequent setup changeovers. The new SIPLACE
SmartFeeders X feature many design and technology innovations that make
complex setups and effective setup changeovers as well as the installation and
tear-down of feeders and component reals faster and easier. The 16-mm
SIPLACE SmartFeeder X is narrower than the previous model and requires only
two instead of three 8-mm slots for space savings of up to 30 percent. The
component availability increases accordingly. Thanks to a new pickup window,
operators can now replace reels without having to open the window, resulting in
additional time savings. The SIPLACE team also paid attention to userfriendliness. The new SIPLACE SmartFeeders X features a comfortable handle
for single-handed carrying and trouble-free installation and tear-down on the
machine. And a new component reel bracket simplifies carrying and handling
reels even more.
Available in 12-mm and 16-mm models, the SIPLACE SmartFeeder X is
compatible with all X-Series, DX-Series and SX-Series SIPLACE machines.
SIPLACE SX-feeders have long been known for their functional design and modern
technology, which make them particularly easy to install and tear down. The X-feeder's
proven standard features were carried over to the new SIPLACE SmartFeeder X. With
its lack of loose parts and its strong metal housing, it delivers maintenance-free and
robust operation. The feeder's settings can be controlled directly on the machine, on
the feeder itself or via SIPLACE Pro. It is also capable of handling short tape snippets
and PSA cover foils. A unique identifier ensures that each feeder is instantly
recognized by the machine and the line software and makes quick and flexible setups
possible.

SIPLACE SmartFeeder X – narrower, more flexible and easier to use
In addition to the features of the SIPLACE X-feeder, the new SIPLACE SmartFeeder X
offers valuable innovations that speed up operations on the machine and make the
feeder setup process more flexible. The 16mm SmartFeeder is narrower than its
predecessor and takes up only two 8mm feeder slots for space savings of up to 30
percent. And the narrower feeder width also makes it easier to switch out individual
feeders. The 2x8-mm, 12-mm and 16-mm models take up only two slots on the
component cart – the old 16-mm feeder required three slots. This means that the
feeders can be easily replaced with another SmartFeeder during setup changeovers.
In addition, all important feeder settings can be easily checked via the new LED
indicators on the feeder. And thanks to a new side opening on the pickup window,
installing and removing tapes is easier than before since the window no longer needs
to be opened – another little feature that makes things faster and more convenient. The
SIPLACE team also paid attention to user-friendliness. The new SIPLACE
SmartFeeders X features a comfortable handle for single-handed carrying and troublefree installation and tear-down on the machine.
The SIPLACE SmartFeeder X models are also available with a built-in splice sensor.
They are fully compatible with SIPLACE X-Series, DX-Series and SX-Series machines.
