SKYTOP MOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN GOLF LEAGUE BEGINS WITH A PRACTICE ROUND WEDNESDAY, MAY 3rd! League one time entry fee is $40 per player. There is an optional Hole in One/Eagle cash pot for an additional $5 Weekly play cost for a non-member is $21 includes cart or $11 to walk. The format will be a 9 hole 4 man Scramble. The top 5 teams each week will be awarded with points. (10pts for 1st, 8 – 2nd, 6 – 3rd, 4 – 4th, 2- 5th) The top 5 teams at the conclusion of regular season will advance to the play-offs where the format changes to a 4-man true alternate shot, played over 2 weeks. The low 18 hole total of the 2 weeks will be crowned CGL Champions! Regular season begins May 10th and will run until August 16th every Wednesday. August 23rd and 30th are the play-off weeks with an end of season party and prizes awarded on the 30th! Substitute players may be used but no more than 3 per team, one player from your original team must be in the foursome. In the play-offs only 1 sub is permitted per team. You may play with less than 4 players, but the extra shot(s) get rotated through the group. All players will TEE OFF AT 5:30PM, make sure you are at your assigned hole at 5:30. Upon completion of round please sign and attest scorecards and turn into proshop. The pro-shop will keep on-going point totals, email out results and the next weeks hole assignments. Please make sure we have your email address in order to keep you up to date with all league information. League Rules: All play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf except where modified by league rules: Player is allowed to roll ball in fairway when necessary. No closer to the pin and no more than six inches back All putts must be holed out; with the exception of the double bogey MAX rule – If your team is hitting for double bogey, pick it up, its good. DOUBLE BOGEY IS THE MAXIMUM YOU CAN TAKE ON ANY GIVEN HOLE. All wooded areas (where forest begins) along both sides of all holes – Treat as Lateral Hazard (red stakes) Stones in Bunkers – Lift, rake and place Rock Rule- A ball ruled to be “through the green”: If you and your competitor agree that your club has the potential to strike a rock during your stroke, you may tap the ground with a club, feel with your hand or stick the ground with a tee or divot tool, if a rock is present; you may take full relief by lifting and NOT cleaning the ball, you may place the ball in the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole. One Ball Rule NOT in effect. Distance Measuring devices that do NOT measure slope ARE permitted. Inclement weather procedure: If the weather is questionable, Players should contact the pro-shop at (814) 692-4249 before traveling to the course. If play is cancelled it is the PLAYERS responsibility to re-schedule the match that was to be played, no later than the following WEDNESDAY. If the match is not played before the next weeks league, chance of points is forfeited.
