To my amazing team mates,
Let’s fire up the engines and make sure we get off to a flying start from day one. I have a good
feeling about our team and if we support each other over the next 100 days, there’s no limit to
what we can achieve, including leaving other teams in our dust!
To ensure we’re making steady progress and building on our momentum, make sure you enter
your steps each day – every step entered is another step closer to our next location! And remember,
if you download the GCC App you can sync your daily activity with the press of a button. Don’t forget
the Leaderboard, just a few steps can really make a difference to our position globally and within
our organisation.
In a few weeks we have the ‘Power of Seven’ Mini Challenge. This is a great way to kick start
our journey as it’s a team challenge. The idea here is to take 100,000 steps as a team on
EITHER Thursday June 2, Friday June 3 OR Saturday June 4. That’s 14,285 steps each if we
want to split it evenly. As long as we reach over 100,000 steps on one of those days, we’ll earn
the team trophy. So let’s choose a day and bring home the silverware.
While we’re winning virtual trophies as a team, we also have a chance to win a GoPro Camera
each if we enter the Best Team Photo competition! Entries close on Sunday 5 June (AEST)
so let’s get snapping!
My Quick Tip: Setting Stage Targets on the GCC website at the start of each of the four stages
really helps to keep up motivation and determination. If you’re unsure what to aim for, start with
the recommended 10,000 steps and see how you’re tracking – this will set the pace for your
next Stage Target.

To the greatest team ever seen in the GCC…ever,
Believe it or not, we’ve reached the quarter mark of the Challenge! We’ve already come up with great
ways to increase step counts and now might be a good time to share your top tips and ideas for
increasing your daily totals. So what’s your winning formula? Do you walk/run/ride to work? Park
further away, or know where every set of steps are around work? Whatever your step average
currently is, let’s share with each other so we smash our goals and keep improving!
Next week, our second Mini Challenge, ‘Beat your Best’, is here. This is a really easy way to push
yourself that little bit more and achieve another virtual trophy. Choose one day between June 23 - 26
and beat your current personal best. Easy, right?
The ’GCC Action Video’ competition starts in two weeks, so if anyone has an idea for a cool 15
second video, send in your entry for the chance to win prizes!
My Quick Tip: GCC Nutrition is now up and running so if you want to learn more about nutrition and
little changes you can make that add up to a big difference, check it out.

Subject line: Happy (nearly) halfway team!
To the most fearless team in the GCC,
Next week will be the halfway mark of our Challenge! As we reach the second half of the GCC, it’s
time to remember the one thing that works for us as a team; keep on moving, keep pushing yourself,
support each other, review your goals and aim to set new ones …ok…so that’s five things…oh and
remember to have fun, that’s six…but they are a really important six.
It’s also time to get ready for the next Mini Challenge. This time, it’s the ‘Spin that Wheel’ Mini
Challenge – do you have what it takes? Of course you do! All you have to do is spin the wheel before
the challenge starts, then beat the targets the wheel gives you. Together we can support each other
to take on the wheel for three days in a row…and win!
Getting to the halfway mark is something we should all be proud of and remember – we’re doing a
mega amount of physical good. Some of which we can’t yet see or feel, but our bodies are already
thanking us.
My Quick Tip: Have you checked in with the GCCers from around the world on GCC Community,
Facebook or Instagram? There’s some motivational and encouraging stories that will help boost you
into the second half!

To definitely the greatest team ever seen in the GCC,
We’re nearing the final stage of our GCC journey! The hardest work is behind us and we’re on the
run, walk, swim, cycle…to day 100 where global applause and legend status awaits! Next week is the
third and final competition - ‘Where in the World’ - this is our chance to showcase where in the world
we get active and show off some fantastic photos. Next week, we also have the final Mini Challenge ‘Join the Club!’ We can decide to make this last stretch our most impressive yet and short of wearing
a wig and waving pom-poms, I’m here to do whatever it takes to help all of us achieve our best. The
challenge is set – which club will you join? There’s four levels to reach and I know you will push to
achieve your best! Go team!
My Quick Tip: Make sure all your step entries are up to date. If you store them up, it prevents the
whole team from progressing faster!
