Students in 2nd Grade are required to read SIX books or chapters per week as part of their homework . 2nd Grade students are required to read 200 books at home for the entire year. If a child is reading a chapter book, each chapter may be counted as Accelerated Reader Set own goal, but minimum of 5 points each 9 weeks 20 points total for the year Only tests with an 80% or higher are accepted Below 80% will not count towards goal AR tests during morning work, snack time, literacy centers or while in media center Transportation Transportation changes MUST be made by 1:00 PM through the front office or must be received in writing in the morning. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TRANSPORTATION CHANGES!!! Several changes for one child & last minute changes are the main cause for transportation mistakes in the afternoon.
