Spot Orders : USD 83833 Enquiries Generated : USD 714832 1 ABOUT INTERTEXTILE SHANGHAI HOME TEXTILE FAIR:The first edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles was held during 1995 in Beijing, China with 100 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions. With both the spring and autumn shows the fair continues to gain a good platform for to buyers to source their products. About Current edition:____________________________________________________ Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Autumn edition fair marking the 20th anniversary was jointly organized by Messe Frankfurt, The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and China Home Textile Association from 27th August to 29th August 2014. According to organizer this year, the fair also sets a new record for exhibition space in 13 halls covering total of 150400 sqm. Hall No.W1 dedicated to European exhibitors. This hall features country pavilions from Belgium, Italy and Turkey, individual exhibitors from 13 other countries which brought many European branded products to the fair. The International Hall No.W2 has an equally diverse mix to it. Country and region pavilions from India, Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan feature, as well as debut appearance from Morocco. Exhibitors from nine other countries and regions also displayed their products in this hall. Further about 1000 domestic exhibitors (exhibitors from China) has displayed their product in 11 halls No.W3 to W-5 , E1 to E7 and N5. Business: According to fair authority total 43,189 buyers from 94 Industry professionals attended this fair from all over the world for marketing directions and keep up to date for the latest trend information, it provides an effective trade platform of home textiles and accessories for the suppliers and buyers. The top five visitor countries besides China were Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Russia and USA. Among the visitors there are buyers of several renowned international retailers, too. The fair attracts home textile manufacturers, designers and buyers from the 2 retail and presents bed, bath, table and kitchen textiles, wall and window decorations, upholstery and other interior design possibilities About HEPC participation:The Handloom Export Promotion Council has participated in this event with 17 participants (10 EUPEA members under Comprehensive Handloom Cluster Development Scheme and 7 members of the Council under National Handloom Development Programme of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles). The following 17 member exporters participated in this fair and exhibited their complete range of home textile products and fashion accessories. All the participants were accommodated in Hall No.W-2. PRODUCTS SHOWCASE: The product display showcased by our member exporters reflected various design concepts. The members showcased the vide range of made-ups, Carpets and Floor coverings and fashion accessories, attracted the buyers. Member Exporters got enquiries for products Viz. Cushion cover, Carpets, Floor Coverings, Stoles, Scarves etc. Few photographs taken during the fair :- 5 6 PARTICIPANTS FEEDBACK: As per feedback received from the participants 363 visitors visited the HEPC member stalls and spot orders worth of USD 83833 has been booked and generated business enquiries worth of USD 714832 during the fair. HEPC member participants stalls were predominantly visited by the buyers from China, Oman, USA, Morocco, Korea, UK, Australia, Italy Malaysia, Hong Kong & Japan. Most the participants satisfied with the participation and shown their interest to repeat the participation through the Council. 7 Council had put up a central promotional stall and displayed publicity posters and distributed catalogues. Mobilization of Chinese buyers was undertaken in our stall with the help of language interpreter. Brochures along with application and guidelines were distributed to all the visiting buyers, and were briefed about the highlights of India International Handowoven Fair. Many buyers have shown interest and have informed that they will send their application in due course. Shri Lakshmi Narayan, Assistant had coordinated the fair. 8
