IDEA: An chat based in city shopping app with local B2B tie ups and same day
delivery.
Is this a real genuine problem?
We have done some validation of the problem with different B2B services that we could
offer. Our findings are:
1.We talked to travel services which happened to be third party entities. They do not
spend time in marketing or promoting their services. And almost have a 100% sales rate.
They seemed to be not in a need in the kind of service we want to provide.
2.We talked to Titan retail store. We found out that they did not tie up with any ecommerce services. But they did succumb to the shift into internet sales. All the watches
sold on the internet are by third party providers. Titan doesn't directly tie up with them.
The seemed interested in a chat based service but they threw light on a very important
aspect of their sales. That is the process of negotiating. For example: A consumer may
come with an idea of buying a watch worth 2k but the sales may push it to a higher rate.
They wanted this kind of negotiating feature if they ever got into a chat based service.
Shortly said, they would like to put their own human operator, so that they could offer
customers a negotiating service.
3. We talked to local mobile only retail stores like BigC and and a few others. They also
were facing the problem of low sales due to internet shopping. To tackle that problem
their prices are comparatively lower compared to online stores. We could use this as an
advantage.
Significant reasons why we choose this idea:
1.We are solving the problem of low sales of local stores by providing them a platform to
do in city sales through Internet.
2.Same day delivery could be a great USP.
3.We are planning to integrate AI/chat based as the technology used which would be a
great learning experience for the team and also useful since AI is future of Internet as
per recent trends.
How could we spice things up?

b. Sharing universal wishlists among peers
c. Best Limited Offers
d. Personalised gifting app like helloshopper.com which has great emotional value.
Even if we fail with this idea it will be with great learning.
