It’s time to play baseball again!! The Challenger League will be
in action again this spring, and we would like to invite your player to
come and play baseball. The Challenger Division is Little League’s way
of providing individuals with disabilities an opportunity to play baseball.
This division enables every person the chance to participate in a
structured athletic program, regardless of their age and/or ability.

Once again we will be playing on the Moline Little League fields
located at the west end of Riverside Park, 2700 5th Ave., in Moline. These fields are handicapped accessible, near
restroom facilities, AND near the concession stand! Moline Little League families will be staffing the concession
stand during our games. Also, each player will get a free glass of pop, juice, or water after their game.
AGAIN THIS YEAR – You may pick up registration forms for your player at the Moline Little League
Registration. Moline’s registration will be at the Moline Public Library at 3210 41 st St., on Saturdays January
28th and February 4th, from 10am-2pm. EVERY player must have this form filled out and returned along with
the registration fee. If you don’t pick up forms for your player on these dates, or print the forms from the e-mail,
we will mail the forms to you. Just let us know!
Games are usually about 1 to 1-1/2 hours long, and everyone gets to hit the ball and play in the field with
their team. Each game is two innings, so everyone gets to bat and field twice. Parents are responsible for
bringing their player to and from the games, and possibly helping while the players are on the field or waiting in
the “dugout”. April 30, May 7, 14, 21 (Picture Date), June 4 (Picture Rain Date), June 11, 18, and 25 are the
dates for our 2017 season. The end of season picnic will take place after the last game, June 25th, at Whitewater
Junction in Rock Island. All games will be played on Sundays, at 1:00 – 2:00, 2:15 – 3:15, and 3:30 – 4:30 with
the exception of June 11th and 18th. Games these days will start later in the day, 5:30, 6:45, and 8:00. If your
player uses a glove, they can bring that with them to the game (please make sure their name is on the glove).
Other equipment will be provided by the league. (Equipment will also be able to be stored, safe and secure, onsite.)
April 30th will be our Opening Day and first day of games. We ask that players arrive 30-minutes before
their game for uniform hand-out.
Our 9th Great River Challenge will be on – to be announced when known!

Players who have been in the league before will be on the same team unless a change is requested. New players
will be placed on a team, and you will be notified before the season starts.

Please return the registration form by March 15, 2017. We need registration forms as soon as possible
so we can order shirts and caps, and organize teams.
