coast and ocean for environmentally sustainable and prudent use by
current and future generations.”

Appreciate magnitude of priorities that face the Commissioners
Appreciate valuable staff time allocated to meeting those challenges
Impressed January 7, 2015 meeting directed the commission staff to perform a
de novo review of the proposed project
de novo review of the proposed project based upon standards:
-Pismo Beach Local Coastal Program (LCP)
-California Coastal Act - public access and recreational policies (others)
Judgment in de novo review satisfies mission of California Coastal Commission
Neighbors strongly urge support of de novo review of recommended
motion with its special conditions
Read the de novo review
-addresses our concerns over the proposed project
Motion and special conditions express agreement between
-California Coastal Commission goals for the development
-our objections to the proposed project.
De novo review provides example for Pismo Beach and LCP agencies
Thank you for your hard work in the interest of the people of California
Personal opinion: Who has power in our representative democracy, the
moneyed few or the people?
- thank goodness for the California Coastal Commission!
