View them now! New Library Images Building a Social Media Strategy Recently Manon, in co-operation with the IS, conducted four online trainings on social media. Twenty-six participants from the following countries participated: Australia/New-Zealand, Bulgaria, Estonia, BelgiumFlanders, France, Germany, Hungary, Paraguay, SouthAfrica, Sweden, United States and Uruguay. One of the topics addressed was how to create a long-term strategy to help you make social media part of your daily work. It's not as hard as you think just give it a try! The Beginner's Guide to Social Media Moz (a marketing analytics company) has just published The beginner’s guide to social media. It's a comprehensive social media resource, and no matter what your skill level is, there's plenty in there to help you improve your social presence. Let's dive in! The “New” Rules of News Releases Share, share, share Your vote is our command, that's why we will discuss the "new" rules of news releases in this issue. Writing press releases is very usefull for non-profit organisations. But instead of sending press release to a hundred reporters, it makes much more sense to provide this content on your own channels (website, social media) first. This way you will have this content forever and can reuse and spread it however you like. A well-crafted press release, referring to the content on your channels, then sent to a handful of reporters who you know can produce great results. Read more... We From 17 to 19 January the European Growth Initiative (EGI) Steering Committee met in Munich to reflect on the progress of the EGI projects, to plan for the European Conference 2014 and to give input to the EEE-YFU strategy consultation meeting in February. European Marketing Support Plan - Ready for input! With final input from the EGI Steering Committee at its January meeting as well as input from the Marketing Task Force, the final draft of the European Marketing Support Plan is complete! This plan contains an overview of the support measures in the field of marketing the EGI is working on between 2013 and 2015 to support national organisations in their marketing efforts. Online presence review This month EEE-YFU and the IS will focus on reviewing the online presence (websites and social media accounts) of national organisations.
