ENTRY FEE:  $30 per person
 Registration deadline – Thursday october 13th
WEIGH-IN:  Weigh-in will be held at the Tournament site on
Saturday October 15th from 7am to 9am.
 Athletes who miss weigh-in cannot compete
ELIMINATION: Modified double knock out or Round Robin (round robin
for 2-5 competitors)
 Coaches please note: depending on # of people in
each division, athletes may have more than two
matches even if they do not win their matches.
REFEREES :  It would be appreciated if blue, brown and black belts
would assist with refereeing
TOURNAMENT  10:00 am
START TIME:  Referee clinic 9:30 am

 One cheque per club please, payable to Fitness 4Life
CONCESSION:  There will be a healthy concession available at the
tournament site, and many restaurants are within
walking distance

 Coaches and parents – please review the Judo Canada
guidelines (link above) for allowable techniques in the
U14 and younger categories
 minimum rest period between matches will be 5
minutes
 competitors must wear indoor shoes or slippers on
their feet whenever they are not on the mats
 All competitors must have a white gi. Blue gi is
optional. First name called wears a white gi, second
name called wears blue gi or blue sash. Blue gis are
encouraged for U16-U21 divisions.
All divisions will be divided into light, middle and heavy
weight categories, YELLOW BELTS AND UP. Children’s
categories will match competitors of equal weight, rank
and age, with 3-5 competitors in each category, wherever
possible.
CATEGORIES
1. Novice Girls U8, U10 match time – 2 minutes continuous time
2. Novice Boys U8, U10 match time –2 minutes continuous time
3. U12 Girls– match times 2 minutes, plus golden score
4. U12 Boys– match times 2 minutes, plus golden score
5. U14 Girls– match times 3 minutes, plus golden score
6. U14 Boys– match times 3 minutes, plus golden score
7. U16 Girls– match times 4 minutes, plus golden score
8. U16 Boys– match times 4 minutes, plus golden score
9. U18 Girls– match times 4 minutes, plus golden score
10. U18 Boys – match times 4 minutes, plus golden score
11. U21 women and men – compete in Senior
12. Novice Senior Women (yellow and orange belts)
 no chokes or armlocks, match time – 5 minutes
13. Novice Senior Men (yellow and orange belts)
 no chokes or armlocks, match time – 5 minutes
14. Senior Women (all ranks, no white belts) – match time – 5 minutes
15. Senior Men (all ranks, no white belts) – match time – 5 minutes
