CHICAGO – October 2015 – Home Run Inn, Chicago’s “Authentic Chicago Thin-Crust Pizza,” is
proud to announce the opening of its very 1st Northside of Chicago restaurant at 3215 North
Sheffield Ave. in Lakeview at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 15.
The first 100 guests in line on opening day will receive a coupon for one Free Large Two
Topping Pizza valid October 16 – November 30. A percentage of proceeds from opening
weekend sales will go to Lakeview Pantry, the neighborhood’s non-profit food pantry and social
services organization with the mission to eliminate hunger and poverty in Chicago communities.
Cozy up to the new neighborhood eatery, a historic 5,500 square-foot building with natural
brick, wood ceilings and hard wood floors, where you can enjoy Home Run Inn’s legendary thin
crust pizza. The pub-like atmosphere will feature a large U-shaped bar to house 16 beers on
tap. Also, expect an innovative beverage menu with infused cocktails and up to 20 varieties of
wines.
Home Run Inn Pizza has captured the hearts of Chicagoans since it opened its first tavern on
the South Side over 65 years ago with the same family tradition and same all natural
ingredients. A true pizza with integrity!
Specialty Pizzas feature “HALL OF FAMERS:” The 1947, with sausage, caramelized onions and
sautéed mushrooms; and Chicago’s Best, with sausage, pepperoni and smoked bacon; Unique
“CURVE BALLS” including the Over and Under, double the pepperoni, baked over and under the
cheese; and Hot & Spicy “FLAME THROWERS” such as the Turkey Diablo with turkey sausage,
giardiniera and roasted red peppers; and SKINNY PIES, Home Run Inn’s famous pizza dough
recipe stretched out extra thin for a 10” cracker like crust; plus many more…all made with fresh
tomato sauce, abundant cheese and a hand-pinched buttery crust. You also can “Create Your
Own Pizza,” selecting from a variety of over 20 garden and premium toppings. There is even a
gluten-free pizza.
Home Run Inn hits it out of the park with a menu that is more extensive than ever! Popular
appetizers include dry rubbed Jumbo Wings, served with your choice of a variety of sauces
ranging from gluten friendly Garlic Parmesan to spicy Jamaican Jerk; Tuscan White Bean
Hummus; and Signature Cheesy Garlic Bread.
Soups and Salads include Beer Cheese Soup, one of the made-from-scratch daily soups; and
Harvest Salad, with fresh greens, cubed apples, bleu cheese crumbles, toasted almonds, craisins
and sliced strawberries, tossed with homemade harvest vinaigrette dressing.
There is a large selection of sandwiches. To name just a few: The Legend Burger, the ultimate
cheeseburger topped with thick cut kosher dill pickles, Jack Daniel’s caramelized onions, melted
Velvetta and tangy bistro sauce served on a grilled pretzel roll; and Artichoke Chicken Sandwich.
A new pasta offering at this location is the three cheese HRI Mac N’ Cheese Skillet!
On the “LIGHTER LINEUP,” there is Pizza Lite (Almost Cheese-less Pizza), fresh basil, plum
tomatoes, diced zucchini/yellow squash mix and mushrooms, seasoned with olive oil, Italian
seasoning and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese; and Roasted Chicken & Veggies.
Save room for one of the many delectable desserts, including Home Run Inn’s Ghirardelli
Chocolate Bomb, a rich chocolate cupcake with chocolate chips, topped with creamy mousse
and chocolate fudge.
A Kid’s menu also is available for children ten years and under. The new Lakeview location will
provide Dine In, Carry Out and Delivery.
Home Run Inn in Lakeview will be open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.;
Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The
