It is important to note that Wi-Fi media devices will be unable to use Southeast Secure/Southeast ResNet
wireless services, as most do not come preloaded with the necessary software to be compatible with SEMO’s
wireless encryption – therefore a wired Ethernet connection must be used.(Note – due to different versions of
built-in software, your experience may differ from the images shown below).
Finding the MAC Address
1. Plug the device in to the LAN port using a Category 5/6 Ethernet cable.
2. From the Home Screen, select “Settings” or the settings icon.
3. Select “Network”->”Network Test”

4. The MAC Address should be listed in the format a1:b2:c3:4d:5e:6f. If it is listed as 00:00:00:00:00:00, please restart
the device.
5. Make note of the MAC Address (perhaps named “Wired MAC address”)
Registering the Device
1. Using a computer, browse to http://splat.semo.edu/gameconsoles/.
2. Enter your Southeast Key and Password for the Username and Password, and type the aforementioned MAC address
into the MAC address field, ensuring to keep the colons in the address.
3. If you agree to the User Policies, select “Accept”.
4. Restart the device, and check to ensure that it is connected.
