Information: Clear, Honest, Positive
Memories: Things you will reflect upon years from now and use
to describe ‘why you played’.
Alumni Thoughts
Advice to Parents/Players:
1. Be a good teammate because Sprout will give you your chance.
2. If your son isn't playing, don't be that parent that goes and
talks to the coach about it, this is player-coach conversation.
3. Show up to every practice with the willingness to take
constructive criticism, learn about the game, and work on the
game with a focused mindset
4. Parents, get to as many games as possible and get involved
however you can. It means more than you know.
5. For those on the section roster last year, remember how much
it hurt after that last game at CHS and use that for motivation
this year and pass it on to those younger kids that weren't
there.
Alumni Thoughts
What does our program do that makes it great?

It was evident that our team was always more ready to go for game 1
than all the other programs
Our program is still in its early stages, I would say that the best part
about it is that it has the ability to be shaped into whatever form the
coaches and, especially the players, want to make it.
What makes our program great is that we have coaches that want us to
win but most importantly have fun
I was always really impressed with indoor practices once the season
started. For having 4 grade levels combined in one gym, kids got a ton
of work in.
Alumni Thoughts
What memories of our program will you think
back to 40 years from now?
1.I am going to remember my best friends that I made my freshman year on
baseball field.
2.Winning the conference my senior year was a feeling I’ll never forget.
3.Every coach deeply cares about his players both on and off the field. I
can’t say that about any other program I’ve played at I didn’t get a sense of
that from Saints Development, Blizzard, UST. To them it was all about
money and winning. Even after graduating, I still run into old coaches from
East Ridge. They’re always super excited to talk with me for a quick 5
minutes and catch up. I’ve seen Hartung, Nelson, Kangas, Hagen, probably
more that I’m forgetting. Every single time they take a second and come talk
to me for a while. I had a conversation with Toz last spring and we caught up
a little bit on what’s going on with each other. It’s the little stuff like that
that sets this program aside. I felt that my coaches weren’t just there to
collect a paycheck.
Senior Leaders
