DRAWING FOR A CHANCE TO LEAD A THRIVENT ACTION TEAM

Promotion Period: The promotion begins at midnight, Central time on March 1, 2016, and
ends May 31, 2016, at 11:59 p.m., Central time. No entries may be received before or
after the Promotion Period.
Eligibility: This drawing is open to all legal U.S. residents who reside in the 50 states
or the District of Columbia. U.S. residents must be age 19 or older to play. Thrivent Financial
employees and independent contractors, and their families and households, are ineligible.
This drawing is void where prohibited and subject to all federal, state, and local laws.
Sponsor: Thrivent Financial, 4321 N. Ballard Rd., Appleton, WI 54919-0001,
is the sponsor (“Sponsor”) of this promotional drawing as set in these terms and conditions.
Thrivent Action Team Procedure: Participants who are selected from the drawing,
“Potential Leader(s),” will have the opportunity to submit a Thrivent Action Team
application for review by Sponsor. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may or may not approve
the Thrivent Action Team application. Thrivent Action Team approval guidelines are found
at Thrivent.com/faqs/#thriventactionteams. If the application is approved, Potential
Leader(s) will receive a Thrivent Action Kit in the mail. Thrivent Action Kit contains a
promotional banner, invitation and thank-you cards, Thrivent Action Team T-shirts, and
a $250 Community Impact Card that Potential Leader(s) may use as seed money to
purchase supplies and create promotional materials. All other expenses associated
with the Thrivent Action Team not covered by the Community Impact Card or permitted
by Thrivent Action Team policies are the sole responsibility of the Potential Leader(s). If
Potential Leader(s)’s Thrivent Action Team plan does not receive approval by the Sponsor,
the portion or whole of the Thrivent Action Team supplies or other expenses will not be
awarded and Potential Leader(s) is not entitled to any alternative. Sponsor reserves the
right, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, to award a substitute to a Thrivent Action Team if the

stated Thrivent Action Team is unavailable.
Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in this drawing, participants agree to
abide by the terms and conditions thereof as established by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves
the right to qualify all submissions and to reject any submissions that do not meet the
requirements for participation as established by Sponsor.
How to Play: Participants may enter into the drawing by submitting a completed drawing
registration form found at Thrivent.com/meetus and submitting it online. All eligible
entries will be entered into a random drawing to determine the Potential Leader(s) by the
means set within these terms. Only one drawing registration form per natural person.
Entries received must come from the holder of the email account. In the event of a
dispute, an entry will be deemed made by the email account holder.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software or program
malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transactions or network
connections that are human or technical in nature, or for damaged, lost, late, illegible
or misdirected entries; technical, hardware, software, electronic or telephone failures
of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; fraudulent, incomplete, garbled or
delayed computer transmissions whether caused by Sponsor, the users, or by any of the
equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this contest; or by any technical
or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions or downloading, that
may limit, delay or prevent an entrant’s ability to participate in the contest.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest and
award a chance to lead a Thrivent Action Team from entries received up to the time
of termination or suspension should virus, bugs, or other causes beyond Sponsor’s
control, unauthorized human intervention, malfunction, computer problems, phone line or
network hardware or software malfunction, which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt,
compromise or materially affect the administration, fairness, security or proper play of
the contest or proper submission of entries.
Selection of Potential Leaders: Selection of Potential Leader(s) is by random drawing
conducted by the Sponsor within a reasonable time after the end of the promotional
period. Ten Potential Leader(s) will be selected. If a Potential Leader(s) is unable to
participate in a Thrivent Action Team, an alternate from a preselected list of twenty
alternates will be selected. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

DISPUTES: EACH PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS,
AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST, OR
ANY PRIZES AWARDED, SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORTING TO
ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, PURSUANT TO ARBITRATION CONDUCTED UNDER THE
COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION,
TO TAKE PLACE IN MINNESOTA; (2) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS
SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, INCLUDING COSTS
ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS CONTEST, BUT IN NO EVENT ATTORNEYS’ FEES; AND
(3) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL PARTICIPANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS
FOR, AND PARTICIPANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL,
AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL
OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES, AND ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR
OTHERWISE INCREASED. ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION,
VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, OR THE
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF PARTICIPANT AND SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE
CONTEST, SHALL BE GOVERNED BY, AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH, THE
LAWS OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW
OR CONFLICT OF LAW, RULES OR PROVISIONS (WHETHER OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA OR
ANY OTHER JURISDICTION) THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF THE LAWS OF ANY
JURISDICTION OTHER THAN THE STATE OF MINNESOTA.
RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: BY PARTICIPATING UNDER THESE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS, PARTICIPANT(S) AGREE THAT THE SPONSOR, THRIVENT
FINANCIAL FOR LUTHERANS, ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS,
EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, WILL NOT BE HELD OR LIABLE FOR
ANY NEGLIGENCE IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE IN ANY CLAIM, ACTION, LIABILITY,
LOSS, INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR ENTITY
INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH TO
PARTICIPANT OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL OR REAL PROPERTY DUE TO, DIRECTLY
OR INDIRECTLY, THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, OR USE OF ANY THRIVENT
ACTION TEAM OR THRIVENT ACTION TEAM SUPPLIES OR OTHER MATERIALS OR
PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROMOTION. PARTICIPANT(S) AGREE TO WAIVE THE RIGHT
TO COLLECT PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES IN

RELATION TO THE AFOREMENTIONED.
Data Collection: Sponsor collects personal information from participants when
participants enter for use in administration. When entering, participants may be asked
to consent to receive promotional emails, mailings, phone calls, or other like kind from
Sponsor. Consenting to receive such information is optional, and not necessary to play,
nor will it increase or improve your chances of winning. All information collected is subject
to the Privacy Policy located at Thrivent.com/privacy-and-security/.
Potential Leader(s): The Potential Leader(s) will be notified by phone, mail, and/or email
within a reasonable time following the promotional drawing. To obtain the identity of the
Potential Leader(s) and/or a copy of these Official Rules, email [email protected].
Potential Leader(s) information is stored for six months after the end of the promotional
period. All requests must come within six months after the end of the promotional period.
