Job Type : Estimator/Quantity Surveyor
Location : Clifton, Bristol
We have an exciting new position for an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join the Moon Team,
producing in-house project budgets and managing the project costs.
The role:
• Carry out site inspections.
• Produce budgets at concept stage to help win new projects.
• Develop the budgets during the design development stage.
• Revise budgets due to client variations during the project.
• Assist in developing our in-house costing system.
• Provide a detailed “take-off”/Bill of Quantities for the Project Managers.
• Work closely with our in-house Procurement Manager to obtain competitive prices for materials
and sub-contract packages.
• Carry out post-mortem cost analysis of completed projects.
• Manage historic cost data for inputting into the in-house cost system.
• Work closely with Project Managers on cost control during the project.
Skills and Experience:
• 2+ years experience as an Estimator.
• Good construction knowledge within the residential sector.
• An interest in design and high build quality.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with in-house Architects and Projects Managers.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Highly numerate with well-developed ability to accurately manipulate numerical data.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work alone and within a team.
• Driving license holder.
