for people who are working or interested in working
with children of any age.
We hope you will find the
information of interest and at
the back of this booklet
there is a booking form for
you to reserve your own
place to book on these
exciting courses.
General information
Works courses are delivered in a practical and participative way,

we encourage discussion and the exchange of ideas
+ Any car parking charges in the Gnoll park will be paid by Play Works
will be provided by Play Works for full day courses, refreshments
+ Lunch
will be provided for workshops
will be a charge of £10 for failing to notify Play Works
+ There
about non attendance 48 hours before the course
needs to be a minimum of 6 participants on the course, Play Works
+ There
will notify any changes or cancellations at least 48 hours before the course
there is a high demand Play Works may limit spaces to two from

These courses are aimed at
those working with children
of any age
This fun and energetic course will explore
play and its benefits to children. Positive Play
will be delivered with a mixture of practical
and theory elements giving you background

With Nature
This workshop is aimed at
those working with children
of any age
This workshop will help you engage with
nature and get practical advice of how to
run an outdoor play session using the
natural environment.
The workshop will be delivered in an
engaging way working through practical
elements. The course will also be delivered
in an outdoor environment, the participant
should wear suitable clothing.

This workshop is aimed at
those working with children
of any age
This will be a fun and exciting workshop giving
you plenty of low cost play ideas! Finding out
how to make things like pop bottle rockets
and crazy gloop! The course will be delivered
in a fun and practical way!

OCN Playwork II
A free course aimed at those working with children and
young people in Neath Port Talbot who aim to provide
opportunities for freely chosen play
The unit is for those who would like to increase their knowledge of play and
for settings who aim to provide opportunities for freely chosen play.
The course is delivered in an engaging and participative way.
We encourage discussion and the exchange of ideas.
You will need to be working with or have a placement with children before undertaking
the course in order to gather the evidence needed to gain the qualification.
