financial assurance evaluation below and confirm that the amounts are still correct and valid.
Disposal rates at NewAlta and at Warren are still as shown below.
There is therefore no need to change the amount of financial assurance for this site.

Re: Financial Assurance Evaluation – Stericycle Brampton Site
Please find below our evaluation of the amount of financial assurance required given the
requested increase in the amount of waste to be stored on site. We have attached invoice copies
and statements to confirm the stated rates.
Assumptions:
• Maximum allowable amount of waste on site: 250 m. tonnes
• The waste stored on site is as follows:
o 36 m. tonnes (3 bins) of incinerator ashes
o 214 m. tonnes of untreated waste (all types)

All the untreated waste will be disposed of by incineration. This disposal method is
acceptable for all waste types and also represents the most costly disposal alternative.
Anatomical biomedical waste storage is limited to the volume (weight) that can
physically be stored within the on-site refrigeration unit
Disposal cost:

Incinerator ashes (36 m. tones) are sent to BFI for final disposal (landfill)
