The organisation and precise execution of all the affairs of the world1
QUESTION: How does the Qur’aan bring proofs to show the existence of Allaah?
The Qur’aan states:
Allaah did not have any son, nor is there any deity worthy of worship along with Him.
(If there had been many deities), then each deity would have taken away what he had
created, and some would have tried to overcome others!
[Soorah al Mu’minoon (the 23rd chapter) verse 91]
The Qur’aan mentions an important concept – that there can only be one Creator and
Master of the Universe. More than one deity would result in fighting and quarrels.
The idea of multiple deities controlling different aspects of the universe is something that
the human mind finds inherently odd and strange.
However we find that in the past (Greeks, Romans, etc) and even in the present (Hindus),
there have been civilisations who have believed in different gods, each with a different role,
all controlling their own aspect of the universe.
But when we look at the aqeedah (the beliefs) of these civilisations, we find that they are
filled with stories of fighting between gods, jealousy between gods, petty quarrels between
gods, etc.
This is something that our intellects know will happen when there are two mighty forces
each with a large amount of power – inevitably, disagreements occur and this always leads
to fighting and sometimes war.

But when we take a telescope or a microscope, or even just the naked eye, and look around
us, there are no signs of this monumental struggle going on between two mighty deities –
rather everything that we see in the Universe proceeds with order and precision.
The movement of the planets, the behaviour of the stars, the interactions between atoms,
even the structure of bee communities or groups of ants, etc – all of this proceeds with an
order.

This is a proof that the Manager of all the affairs of the Universe is One, having no rival and
He is the One Owner, who has no partner.
