Majors and Minors (9-12) evaluations will be held on the SHLL North Complex Majors field.
Evaluation times are as follows :
12 year olds
11 year olds
10 year olds (last name A-J)
10 year olds (last name K-Z)
9 year olds (last name A-J)
9 year olds (last name K-Z)
9:00 a.m.
10:00 a.m.
11:00 a.m.
11:30 a.m.
12:00 p.m.
12:30 p.m.
Each candidate will be given the opportunity to:
1. bat
2. field fly ball
3. field ground ball
4. throw
5. run
* Each skill will be graded by the team managers and players with the highest cumulative score will be considered for Majors.
* 9 year olds are eligible to be drafted to the Majors division but are not required to move up to Majors if drafted. Tell the attendant at
the check-in table PRIOR TO YOUR CHILD'S TURN if he/she does not wish to move up to Majors if drafted.
* 10/11 year olds are eligible to be drafted to the Majors division. 10/11 year olds who decline to move up to Majors if drafted, will be
placed on a Minors team that is short on players, not a team of choice, and will not be eligible for trading or for all-star team
selection. Tell the attendant at the check-in table PRIOR TO YOUR CHILD'S TURN if he/she does not wish to move up to Majors if
drafted.
* 12 year olds are required to be in the Majors division unless there a significant or documentable safety risk to the player. SHLL
Board must approve all requests after evaluations are completed.
Draft Day will be March 2.
