Slop! Slap! Seek! and Slide! clip. SunSmart is keen to use board games to educate primary students about the importance of the Slip! Slop! Slap! Seek! and Slide! sun protection message. In small groups, design a board game which educates children about the importance of sun protection and the various ways to protect their skin from skin cancer. Keep in mind that your game must include the following: a)Education about each of the Slip! Slop! Slap! Seek! and Slide! messages b)Information about both skin cancer and vitamin D c) Your own SunSmart mascot which would appeal to young children. 1 of 2 Game on! Extend yourself Once the class has finished, swap games between the groups and write a review of the other group’s board game, including how effective you feel the game is at educating children about sun protection. At the conclusion of the project, students may wish to laminate their game and donate it to the local primary school.
