1st/2nd Grade Schedule

Times: 11:00am or 12:00pm
DIVISIONS & PLAYING INFORMATION:
 4 COED teams
 Goal height is 8 foot / Ball size is 27-Junior
 Practice lead by parent coaches at beginning of
time slot - length determined by coaches and
staff each week (typically 20-30 minutes)
 Game play after practice
 Play consists of 4 vs 4 / Four quarters
 Clock will run continuously, except for: injury,
4-minute subs, or official time-out
 Defense
 Player to Player Defense (wristbands)
 No Double Teams
 Defenders must drop back past half
court and may not guard until ball is
past
 No full court defense
 No stealing from the dribbler
 Intercepting a pass inside the key is
allowed
 Fouls
 All fouls will result in a dead-ball
inbound situation - even shooting fouls
 Reaching in (stealing) will result in an
automatic foul. Defenders can only take
the ball on a pass, rebound, or loose
ball situation.
 A player will be warned for repeatedly
committing fouls or overly aggressive
fouls as judged by the referee.
 Double dribbling and traveling will not
result in a turn over. The violation will
be explained to the group, and the ball
will be returned to the team who
committed the violation. Remember this
is a learning division.
