After the inaugural season in 2016 the MGC PGA Junior League teams are
ready to have a great season in 2017. In 2016 MGC had 1 team of junior golfers and this year we have 2 teams! After the first week of the season both
teams are 1-0 both beating The Golf Club of Oklahoma.
Come out and support our junior golfers on Sunday June 4th at
4pm when MGC Team 1 plays MGC Team 2.

MEET YOUR HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL:
MARK BUDLER, PGA
Mark was born in Hastings Nebraska and has 1 older brother and 2 younger sisters. Mark played every sport growing up and eventually fell in love
with golf. Mark learned the game from Sam Reynolds in Springfield, Missouri and went on to Evengel University where he earned ALL-HAAC in
2010 & 2011. Mark earned his PGA membership in 2013 along with being a
US Kids Golf Certified Coach. He was also selected as a US Kids Golf Top
50 Kids Teacher Honorable Mention in 2014, 2015, 2016.
Mark married Shapauni in 2011 and they welcomed their first child Isaiah
in November 2016. As a family they enjoy the outdoors, traveling the world
and watching Nebraska football.

TIP FROM THE PRO
Good ball striking is vital to consistent golf and shooting a low score. I
see many golfers fall into some bad habits that hold them back from
playing their best golf. Trying t o lift the ball into the air can lead to
disaster and not having the body turn match up with the arms can also
spell trouble. Here are some things to practice to improve your ball
striking.

June we get the opportunity to showcase our golf course and facility to some
of the best amateur golfers in the state. We are hosting the WOGA MidAmateur June 19-20 and the OGA Stroke Play June 26-28. We are privileged to host such great events and are looking forward to putting Muskogee Golf Club back on top in the minds of golfers from all over the state.
