Act 1956 and entrusted with the function of undertaking power distribution in the state of
Maharashtra . The Chief Engineer MSEDCL Amravati Zone Akola invites separate bids from the
eligible bidders i.e. single firm/individual bidder (Joint venture will not be considered) for
"Energisation of agriculture pump sets" in Amravati and Buldhana Circles on "Turnkey
basis" for the following bids.

Schedule for tender processing :- 1) Tender fees - entire bidding documents can be
purchased from the office of the Chief Engineer MSEDCL Amravati Zone, Vidyut Bhavan ,
Ratanlal Plots, Akola- 444 005, on payment of Rs. 20,000 only in cash or by Demand Draft in
the name of MSEDCL, payable at Akola ( Maharashtra), on working days only 2) Date of sale
of bid documents- from 19/11/2007 to 27/11/2007. 3) Pre bid meeting will held at zone office
Akola on dated 3/12/2007 at 11:00 Hrs. 4) Date of submission of bid –10/12/2007 upto 17:00
Hrs. 5) Date of opening of bid – 11/12/2007 at 11:00 Hrs. Only the technical bid will be opened.
Opening of the Price Bid will be notified later to the technically responsive bidders.

Bid Security :- 1% of the bid value in the form of demand draft or an unconditional bank
guarantee from any Nationalised/schedule Bank issued in favour of MSEDCL payable at
Akola.(M.S.). Contract performance guarantee :- The successful bidders will have to furnish
contract performance guarantee equivalent to 10% of contract value as stated in the bid
document. Price variation :- Not applicable. The offers should be valid for a period of 90 days
from the date of submission of bid. Period of completion of works is 12 months from start date.
Eligibility Criteria:The Contracts shall be awarded to Contractors with relevant experience and required financial
strength. The interested party should be a single firm meeting and possessing the eligibility
criteria as outlined below:
 At least three years experience as a Prime Contractor in the Construction of Works of
similar nature and complexity to that required under this Contract.
 Cumulative turnover of the last three years to be equivalent of the bid value.
 Should have executed single order of a value equivalent to at least 20% of the estimated
cost of the bid or two orders of 25% of the estimated cost of the bid of three orders of at
least 30% of the estimated cost of the bid, in any sector during the last five years.
 Should have prior experience of executing work of similar nature in Transmission or
Distribution sector of a minimum value of 15% of the estimated cost of the bid or Rs. 1
Crore whichever is more, through a single order during the last five years.
 Should have a net worth not less than 20% of estimated cost .
 Should have documentary evidence describing availability of financial resources to
exclusively covered cash flow requirements of not less than. 20% (Twenty Percent) of the
estimated cost of the works.
 Should have valid electrical contractors license .
 Should have registration under MVAT/ Service Tax/ PF & Labour laws.
