Prize giving
The final programme will be sent to all participating clubs following Final Entries. The Draw for the
Order of Appearance will be done once final entries are confirmed.
SS8.3.1 - the Figure draw will be on Thursday 28 September 72 hours before the start of the figure
session, and will be emailed to the Team Manager to pass onto Coaches and Judges.
Entry Fees:
Will be payable and these will be confirmed after receipt of Preliminary Entries.
Per Competitor: $60 event fee; plus $25 per Figures event; $20 per Routines event.
This will be confirmed once we know preliminary entries and if we are successful
getting any grant funding.
Music Practice: Monday is the team music practices, also each day for the events of that day
Please note, arrive time on the preliminary entries, also make it as early as possible
So your team can make the most of the Saturday team pool times.

The dimensions of the competition pool are 20m x 20m and 3m deep.
Travel to Invercargill:
Invercargill Airport only has Air New Zealand Flights in and out.
Options that may be worth looking at include;
 Flying direct into Invercargill and only 10 minutes to accommodation
and pool
 Flying into Dunedin and driving down (2.5 hours)
 Flying into Queenstown and driving down (2.5 hours)

Judges, Officials and Volunteers:
As per SSNZ policy, for every 6 competing athletes, a club must provide 1 dedicated
judge who is able to judge full-time. Their names should be specified on the preliminary entry form.
For International teams, we would welcome a judge from each country, Please indicate on
preliminary entry form if you plan to bring a judge with your team. SSNZ Judges dress code dark
trouser or 3/4 plus SSNZ Light blue shirt and Black shoes.
We welcome volunteers from other clubs to assist with various roles e.g. timekeeping and scoring
Please let us know if you have parents coming along who would be prepared to help.
Accreditation and entry:
All swimmers, coaches, judges, officials and volunteers will be issued with
accreditation upon arrival which will allow free entry to the pool. All spectators will need to pay the
standard Splash Palace entry free.
Music:
Music for each routine needs to be either emailed or mailed and to arrive by 1st August in an
mp3 format and labelled: Event/age group_ Combo /Team/Duet/Solo _ Club name
 e.g. Dolphin_ Combo Team _ Central Southland
 e.g. 12 & Under_ Duet _ Milly & Cindy _ Bluff
 e.g. 13-14-15 age group _ Solo _ Mollie _ Stewart Island
 e.g. Junior _ Team _ Edendale
If the music is to be used twice in the schools competition and the national competition, we will
require it twice. All the music will be uploaded to a computer for the competition. Detail to whom to
send it to will be in the next newsletter. Please make sure that music is recorded load enough.

Merchandise:
This will be available for pre-ordering prior to the event; more information
will be sent following the receipt of preliminary entries.
