Perseverance of Saints
We believe the Scriptures teach that such only
are real believers as endure to the end; that their
persevering attachment to Christ is the grand
mark which distinguishes them from superficial
professors; that a special Providence watches over
their welfare; and they are kept by the power of
God through faith unto salvation.

1 John 2:19 “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been
of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be
made manifest, that none of them were of us.”
John 13:18 “"I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen;
but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, 'He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his
heel against Me.‘”
Matthew 13:20-21 “ 20 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he
who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in
himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises
because of the word, immediately he stumbles.”
John 6:66-69 “66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with
Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?" 68
But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words
of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ,
the Son of the living God."
Job 17:9 “Yet the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those
who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Matthew 6:30-33 “30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is,
and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you
of little faith? 31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What
shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles
seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek
first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added
to you.”

not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that
they will not depart from Me.”

not slumber.”
Psalm 91:11-12 “11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in
all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot
against a stone.”
