ROLE




To be responsible for the development and implementation of the clubs schoolboy coaching
programme in line with the clubs guidelines and support the development of the clubs football
philosophy
To coach and oversee the area of the programme for ages 12 – 16 years, players and coach
To identifying and develop the best young players for the Club in the 12 to 16 age groups and to
assist in the identification and recruitment of players within the Foundation Phase
Membership of TB and AMT committee and attend all meetings

Minimum of 30 hours per week
Flexibility in this post will be required to meet the needs of the post
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES














To be responsible for the development and implementation of the clubs coaching programme in line
with the clubs guidelines for all ages 9s to 18s
To liaise with the academy manager on updates to the coaching syllabus
To assist with all coach’s to develop players technically and tactically, with a greater understanding of
the game through coaching contact time and the Games Programme
Manage competition to ensure that development isn’t stifled in the pursuit of winning at all costs
To monitor a plan and implement a programme of skills, coaching and events for all the youth players
across all age ranges.
Monitor player reviews every 6 / 12 weeks in relation to players’ individual learning objectives.
To work with the clubs community programme and other agencies i.e. Local Leagues
To ensure all players and parents are informed of details regarding training and/or any other activities
we have planned (e.g. times & venues).
To ensure that all players, act in an appropriate fashion whilst representing the club.
To monitor registers of attendance and game and match times for the performance clock
Monitor weekly/monthly match time and reviews records for the performance clock
Hold regular review meetings with players/parents and staff and record outcomes of those meetings
To help ensure the correct procedure is carried out for any trialist brought to the club through
activities in the community.
To enforce the player and parent Code of conduct.




Undertake extensive travel as and when required to support the effectiveness of the Academy
Programme.
Attend Football League, Football Association and Regional meetings as and when required
Attend Internal In-service training and look to undertake FA Courses to develop coaching experience
and qualifications
To work closely with the Academy Secretary
