Select a player to shake the Boggle cube grid dome. 2. Flip the timer to start. 3. Once the letters have landed, begin writing down discovered words, 3 letters or more. 4. To write down words, letters can be formed horizontally, vertically, diagonally, to the left, right, or up-and-down. 5. No letter cube may be used more than once within a single word. 6. When the timer runs out, everyone must stop writing and each player reveals their list of words. 7. Any word that appears on more than one player’s list must be crossed off all lists, including that of the reader. Playing the Game 1. Toss a coin to determine who goes first. 2. With only one hand, remove a block from anywhere below the highest completed layer. 3. You can touch the blocks to find a loose one. 4. Place the block on top of the tower, wait for ten seconds. If the tower falls, you are out. If the tower stands, move on to the next player’s turn. Give each player: 5 x £1’s 2 x £10 1 x £50 2 x £500 (Total=1500) 1 x £5 1 x £20 4 x £100 Keep the rest of the money in the box as the bank. Play! How to win Move around the board buying as many properties (streets, railway stations and utilities) as you can. The more you own, the more points you’ll score at the end of the game. 2. Shuffle the Chance and Who goes first? Each player rolls both white dice. The highest roller starts. 3. Choose someone to be Banker. On your turn: 1. Roll both white dice. 2. Move forward that number of spaces. Community Chest cards and place them face down on the allocated spaces on the board. The Banker’s in charge of: • The Bank’s money •Houses •Hotels • Title Deed cards •Auctions The Banker can play too, but must keep their money separate from the Bank. 4. Pay the price on the board space and take the Title Deed card. Don’t want to buy it? Then the Banker must auction it. Bids start at £10. All players can bid. Owned Streets When you land on a Street that someone else owns, pay them the rent shown on the Street’s Title Deed card. Collect colour sets to build Houses! You can’t build Houses until you get a colour set! Rent goes up on each Street as soon as you’ve got the set. • If you buy Houses, rent goes up even more! • Later you can upgrade to Hotels! RAILWAY STATIONS Unowned Railway Stations When you land on a Railway Station that no one owns, either buy it or auction it. Want to buy it? Pay the price on the board space and take the Title Deed card. Don’t want to buy it? Then the Banker must auction it. Bids start at £10. All players can bid. Owned Railway Stations When you land on a Station that someone else owns, pay them rent. Rent depends on how many Stations the owner has. ACTION SPACES Go If your move took you onto or past the GO space, collect £200 from the Bank. Chance / Community Chest Take the top card from the matching pile and immediately do what it says. BUILDINGS Building Houses As soon as you get a colour set, you can start buying Houses (you don’t have to wait for your turn). AUCTIONS DEALS & TRADES If you land on an unowned Street, Railway Station or Utility and you don’t want to buy it, the Banker must auction it. You can buy, sell or swap property with other players at any time. Pay the Bank the cost price on the Title Deed card and place a House on the Street. 1. T he Banker starts Build evenly. You cannot build a second House on a Street until you’ve built one on each Street in the set. 2. A nyone can increase You can only have 4 Houses on a Street. Building Hotels Once you have 4 Houses on a Street, you can pay to upgrade to a Hotel. YOU CANNOT MORTGAGE The Winner The Winner is the person with the most money, and assets in the form of street value and value of houses and hotels. You can only have 1 Hotel per Street. You can’t add any more Houses. Not enough buildings? If multiple players want the last House or Hotel, the Banker must auction it. Bids start at £10. No buildings left? Divide into two teams. 2. Team 1 to start. Clue-giver to pick green card and hide from the rest of their team. 3. Opposing Team 2 need to see the green card and use the buzzer to reveal any player who uses Taboo words on the card. 4. Team 1 must guess the word at the top of green topped card from their clue-giver. 5. The clue giver cannot use any of the listed Taboo words on the green topped card; they must use other words to get their team to guess the correct word at the top of the card. 6. No form or part of any guess word may be given as a clue. 7. No gestures, sound effects, noises or ‘sounds like’ can be given as a clue. 8. At the end of the timer, the Clue-giver counts up how many correctly guessed words their team has managed. 9. Take equal turns between each team using the sand timer and buzzer provided. 10.If you finish playing with the green cards, flip them over and use the purple cards. Scoring 1. Each time a teammate shouts out the correct guess word, the Clue-giver’s team scores ONE point. 2. The number of correctly guessed cards at the end of each timed round is the number of points the Clue-giver earns for their own team. Roll the dice and move the number of spaces indicated in either direction. 3. The player to your left reads aloud the question that matches the category you landed on and starts the timer. 4. If you answer correctly before the time runs out then you win a wedge of pie matching that category and take another turn. 5. If you answer incorrectly or you run out of time, it’s the next players turn. 6. If you land on a colour and already have a wedge, you can choose to answer another question for another move or forgo your turn and its the next players turn. Winning 1. Once you’ve collected all six wedges, roll and move to the centre space. 2. You must land on it exactly. 3. The other players choose your final category. 4. Answer the question correctly to win. 5. If you answer incorrectly, you may try again on your next turn. 6. You do not need to move again once you are in the centre.
