How much do I have to pay?
Team Hallam memberships range from £80 for a basic subscription to the £220 Team Hallam
Ultimate package designed for athletes who are looking to take their performance to the
next level. There are also a range of Sheffield Hallam Active memberships available at a
discounted rate when purchased in conjunction with a Team Hallam membership

Did you know…
The total budget for Team Hallam is over £400,000 per annum. This means that on average
it costs over £400 per athlete to deliver the Team Hallam programme. Therefore, an average
subsidy of over £300 per member goes into the programme.
What does my membership entitle me to?







Membership to any of the Team Hallam sports clubs
Facilities used for training
Facilities used for BUCS Fixtures
Transport for BUCS league and cup fixtures, and BUCS Individual and Team
Championships (i.e. booked transport such as coaches/minibuses, train fares, taxi
receipts, fuel expenses)
Coaching provision
Basic personal injury insurance through Endsleigh Business Insurance Services Ltd. but it's also advisable to source your own.
Public liability insurance cover
What funding does my club receive?
Team Hallam clubs automatically receive the following funding (where applicable):
 Entry into BUCS league(s)
 Entry into BUCS Team and Individual Championships (subject to BUCS entries policy
criteria)
 Club affiliation to your sport specific National Governing Body (e.g. The Football
Association)
 A 'Development Fund' to help support the cost of equipment, non-BUCS
transport/entries/accommodation costs or additional coaching/facility costs.
 An official Team Hallam playing kit (subject to the terms of the TH kit deposit policy)
 First Aid provision (where required)
What does my membership NOT cover?





Match teas
Officials/Referees fees
Transport costs to get to or from training or sports club trials
Sports leisurewear or warm-up garments
Sports kit and equipment used for personal use (e.g. gum shields and water bottles)
Additional benefits of Team Hallam membership for the club or individual
 Significantly discounted physiotherapy appointments
 Potential to play in the Annual Varsity competition versus University of Sheffield (if
eligible and selected).
 Potential subsidy for sports specific skills training / coaching (as per club
development plans agreed with the Students' Union Sports team).
 Support from full-time Team Hallam staff, and the elected Sports & Physical Activity
Officer.

The Team Hallam Ultimate package represents excellent value for money and allows you to
maximise your sporting potential. The membership has been designed for athletes who are
focused on improving their performance in competition. It provides access to the state-ofthe-art strength and conditioning suite.
Benefits
 Full induction and competency session in the S&C suite
 Individual periodised training programme with one-to-one support from UKSCA
strength and conditioning coaches
 Access to all Sheffield Hallam Active fitness facilities at City and Collegiate campuses
 Free reactive physiotherapy sessions (subject to fair usage)
