League, Team and Player information • The first week of play, you may “swap out” a player(s) (who decided not to play with you for the Spring Season) on your submitted Spring roster with a replacement player. There is no charge for this drop/add. • A scoring line will be using for ALL leagues. For safety reasons, there will be NO touching home plate to score. • To avoid a forfeit, you may make a one-time add (1x). Multiple 1x’s, if needed. This means the player(s) will play for your team for one game. There is no charge for this. A “1x” will be written on the add form. If the player(s) plays with you a second (or more) game, we rely on the honor system that the appropriate add fee will be paid for that player(s). • Prompt payment of add fees is always appreciated. The least liked part of the job is to remind managers they owe add money and to be avoided by the manager • Don’t get caught with an illegal player! Your game will be immediately forfeited AND you will lose 3 of your wins. Add the player (see above). Use the player’s real name. This is your warning. • Make sure every player in your line-up is present at the field, when you turn in your line-up. Once you turn in your line-up, If a player listed is NOT present, when they come up to bat, they will be an out and continue to be an out until they show up to play. Period. If the player isn’t at the field at game time, put them as a Sub. They can always be added to the bottom of the line-up. • An ejected player becomes an automatic out when their turn at bat comes up, unless you have a Sub for them. An injured player that leaves the game is NOT an automatic out. They are scratched from the line-up and they are skipped in the batting order. • Courtesy runner: the most recent (last) out in the current inning. In the first inning only, if there are no outs and a courtesy runner is needed, the courtesy runner is the last batter in the line-up. • Players may drink BEFORE the game and AFTER game – NO DRINKING WHILE PLAYING your scheduled games. If a player is seen drinking during the game, be it behind a light pole, behind a tree, outside of the dugout, or in the stands, THE PLAYER WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE GAME. This is your team’s warning. • Heather Farm is a NO SMOKING area of Walnut Creek. If you do smoke, please go to the parking lot. Please avoid smoking around the fields/dugouts and stands. Thankyou! • Foul language – a player may be ejected for foul or abusive language. Remember, there are children and families in the park watching the games. • If you’re unable to make your scheduled game due to not having enough players, please call the office (925-943-1955) or e-mail [email protected]. FYI: In the future, it MAY be that a No Call/No Show will result in a half point, or point being taken away from your standings. That has to be decided upon by the WCASI board. Thank you and let’s play ball! ~Val and Kevin
