Dear Friends of the Ministry,
We hope this letter finds you all well and enjoying the season of Spring. It is the season of new life
and fresh growth.
As with Spring, Border Buddies is also in a season of new life and fresh growth. The Ministry
continues to grow and with it changes are occurring. When you are serving God, change and growth
are expected. Sometimes they are a blessing and sometimes they provide us with a challenge.
This new challenge is the answer to our prayers that we would be able to purchase a house in
Honduras, rather than continue to rent a house. A few months ago we were notified by the owner of
our current home that it was going up for sale soon and we entered into negotiations to buy it.
Then, much to our surprise, the home next door was offered to us. It is larger, the layout and overall
size are perfect for housing the Ministry and mission teams. It actually suits the needs of the
Ministry better than the existing house and costs much less.
Trusting in God, we have negotiated with the owner to purchase the house. The plan for the
purchase (similar to a land contract) consists of a down payment followed by monthly payments for
10 years. We have the option to pay off the debt earlier and save on interest costs. We currently
have the down payment thanks to the generosity of our supporters, but we will owe $205,000 after
the down payment. We need you all to prayerfully consider helping us raise funds to pay off this
debt and meet our increased monthly expenses due to the purchase of the house.
We know this is a big project but we also know nothing is too big for God. Please pray on this and
share it with family and friends. Listen for God’s leading on your support of Mike and Glenda and all
of Border Buddies Ministries.
Border Buddies continues to lead people to Christ as we “Bring the Heart of Christ to the Heart of
Honduras”. Please support us at this critical stage of the Ministry. This Mission House will continue
to house Border Buddies Ministries in a safe neighborhood and provide housing for all of the short
term mission teams who come to serve Christ.
This step forward in the Ministry will only be successful with your financial support. Please see the
