Dear Parents
St Augustine has a 1 - 1 Bring Your Own Mobile Device program which begins in
Year 3. Currently the School uses the HP Chromebook due to it’s durability, cost and
web-based services.
The School Board engages the service of Enigma Business Products to purchase
the machines required, on behalf of families. The School then invoices families
inconjunction with the Annual School Fees. The cost for the 2017 program will be
bundled at $550 per device. This includes:
 Chromebook
 3 Year Warranty
 Google Console Management
The warranty for each machine, whilst paid by parents, will be managed by the
School as this eliminates the need for lengthy repair delays.
 For any warranty matter, the School will:
o Lodge the service call with HP
o Inform the parent immediately
The Chromebooks will be delivered to the School in December and imaged as the
School requires. Students will receive their device at the beginning of the school
year, ready for use.
If you would like to be part of this service, please complete the accompanying order
form and return to School NO later than Friday 21 October 2016.
Parents who wish to purchase the device privately will need to purchase the following
model or it’s equivalent:
HP CHROMEBOOK 11 G5 CEL-N3060 2GB(1600-DDR3) 16GB(SSD)
11IN(HD-LED) WL-AC 1/1/0YR, and you will then be invoiced $50 for the Google
Console Management on your annual school fees.
Parent information evening for all 2017 Year 3 parents will be held on Tuesday
18 October 2016 at 6:00pm in the Year 2 classroom.
