Sanctioned by the Swedish Figure Skating Association – Malmö Konståkningsklubb is happy

SKATE MALMÖ 2013, an interclub competition in
Figure skating
organized in Malmö on 8-10 March 2013
1.
GENERAL
Skate Malmö 2013 will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General
Regulations 2011, the ISU Special Regulations and Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating
2011 and the relevant ISU Communications.
All ISU members and clubs, members of National Figure Skating Federations associated to
ISU, are invited to take part in the competition. The organizer reserves the right to limit the
number of participants in case the number of competitors is too high. The organizing club
reserves the right to enter more competitors. The clubs are asked to list the skaters in the
order in which they wish to be accepted to the competition. For swedish skaters we will
prioritate skaters from swedish team, ungdomslyft, skånespets samt elitserieåkare.

ADVANCED NOVICE 13 , must not have reached the age of 13 by 1st of July 2012

SPRINGS, must not have reached the age of 12 by the 1st of July 2012
Boys and Girls, Free skating 2.30 min. +/- 10 sec
CUBS, must not have reached the age of 10 by 1st of July 2012
Boys and Girls, Free skating 2.30 min. +/- 10 sec
CHICKS, must not have reached the age of 8 by 1st of July 2012
Boys and Girls, Free skating 2 min 30 sec +/- 10 sec
Rules springs, cubs and chicks:

a) Maximum of 5 jump elements.
One of which must be an Axel. Each double jump can only be included two (2) times.
Maximum of two (2) jump combinations or sequences. Every combination may only consist
of two (2) jumps. Jump sequences can consist of any number of jumps, but only the 2 most
difficult will count.
b) Maximum of two (2) different spins.
One has to be a spin combination (CCoSp or CoSp), 10 rev.
One has to be a spin in one position, 5 rev.
c) Maximum of 1 ChSq. It has a fixed value and will be marked in GEO.
Max level is 2.
Program components will be: Skating Skills (2.0), Transitions (1.2) and Performance (1.2)

ENTRIES
Entries of competitors
Entries must be made by name to [email protected] no later than 22 January, 2013.
Enclosed entry form must be used. Planned Program Content (PPC) for each skater must be
enclosed.
Confirmation will be announced until 31 January 2013. Definite timetable and list of
participants will be announced to all entered clubs in February 2013.
Entries of judges
Each participating ISU Members and clubs with entries in at least two categories may suggest
one international/national Judge. The organizer reserves the right to select the judges and
Technical panel. Accommodation Thursday-Sunday and meals Friday breakfast - Sunday
lunch will be paid for the selected judges by the organizer.
Deadline for Entries of Judges is 22 January, 2013.
The confirmation of the list of judges will be announced until 31 January 2013.
5.
MUSIC
All Competitors shall provide competition music of good quality on CD. CD must state the full
name of the competitor, category, name of club and country. The participants are obliged to
present their music records at the accreditation desk.
6.
TRANSPORTATION
Malmö KK will provide transport service upon request from Hyllie station (for participants
coming from Copenhagen airport – Kastrup) for 6 EUR/person/one way, from Malmo
airport- Sturup for 11 EUR/person/one way and from the railway stations of Malmo for 6
EUR/person/one way.
Please, be informed that this service is only possible in case your travel details arrives to the
club latest 3 March, 2012.

7.
ACCREDITATION
All event Officials, Judges, Team Leaders, Competitors and Coaches taking part in the
Competition are requested to register at the ice-rink from morning 8 March.

8.
OFFICIAL HOTEL
All participants, except invited judges, pay for the accommodation themselves. All
participants make their own reservation with the hotel. Organizer has reserved facilities at the
official hotel; prices are per room and night.

MEALS
It will be possible to buy lunch and dinner at Isstadion for 80 SEK/portion. Please use the
enclosed document.
9.
EXPENSES
Entry fee: 85 (EUR) for 2 programs, 60 (EUR) for 1 program. Payment must be made in
advance no later than February 26, 2013.

Depending on the number of participants we might have to adjust the preliminary schedule.
11.
LIABILITY
In accordance with Rule 119, the Organizing Committee accepts no liability for bodily or
personal injury, or for property loss or damage incurred by Competitors and Officials. Each
ISU member or their affiliated clubs is expected to provide their own insurance protection.
The Organizer will provide emergency medical services for all invited Officials and
Competitors during the competition period.
