Most groups get tired of doing fund-raising activities like bake sales and selling candy that require a lot of time with little results. ARAMARK offers groups the opportunity to work Braves games and other hosted events at the stadium, in return ARAMARK will pay your group a percentage of the sales from the concession stand or vending commissary. This unique opportunity allows groups to be part of events within the local community, while earning money at the same time. Groups are required to work a certain number of events or home stands in order to participate in this program. To sign your group up to work the 2009 Braves season, fill out the informational page and return to ARAMARK. ARAMARK Requirements All groups must obtain a Federal Tax ID number and be registered with the IRS as a 501 (C) Non-Profit group. Groups must present a copy of their determination letter or tax-exempt status to ARAMARK before working an event. If a group has a Federal Tax ID number but does not have a determination letter, they must fill out a Package 1023 from the IRS in order for the IRS to determine your group’s status. You can log onto the IRS web site or follow the link: www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/k1023.pdf. Groups who represent schools or churches that are not classified as a 501 (C) (3) group must turn in a copy of their Georgia State Exemption Certificate before they work. Please remember that ARAMARK assumes no responsibility for injuries or medical expenses incurred by volunteers while working at Turner Field. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old to work and serve alcohol within the stadium. LETTER OF INTENT TO VOLUNTEER SERVICES: All non-profit groups must sign a written statement declaring their intent to volunteer and donate their services to their organization. Groups must attend a TEAM class, Orientation and customer service training before working. The orientation class will include policies and procedures, food safety procedures (ServSafe), register training (we are implementing a new system this year) and hands-on training. All volunteers must attend a TEAM (alcohol awareness) class before working. ARAMARK will terminate any group’s contract if members are caught consuming alcoholic beverages, selling alcohol to a minor or not following ARAMARK’s alcohol policy. All volunteers will be required to wear an event day badge in order to gain access to the stadium. No ID badges are made on event days.
