2009 Non-Profit Organization
Informational Packet
The 2009 Brave’s season is underway and ARAMARK at Turner Field is looking for Non-Profit Organizations who
are interested in participating in a fundraising program that is fun and exciting!
Each season, ARAMARK staffs many of its concession stands with Non-Profit Organizations (NPO’s), as a
means of raising funds for their activities. It serves as an alternative to traditional fundraising while
developing teamwork and camaraderie in an exciting atmosphere. We are proud of our program and hope
that we can help make a difference in the Atlanta area.
Attached is an informational packet for the 2009 Season. This packet includes:
ARAMARK Information
NPO Benefits and Earnings Potential

Non-Profit Fund-Raising
ARAMARK the exclusive contractor for the food and beverage at Turner Field offers a unique
opportunity for non-profit groups to fund-raise.
Most groups get tired of doing fund-raising activities like bake sales and selling candy that require a
lot of time with little results. ARAMARK offers groups the opportunity to work Braves games and
other hosted events at the stadium, in return ARAMARK will pay your group a percentage of the
sales from the concession stand or vending commissary.
This unique opportunity allows groups to be part of events within the local community, while
earning money at the same time. Groups are required to work a certain number of events or home
stands in order to participate in this program. To sign your group up to work the 2009 Braves
season, fill out the informational page and return to ARAMARK.
ARAMARK Requirements
All groups must obtain a Federal Tax ID number and be registered with the IRS as a 501 (C)
Non-Profit group. Groups must present a copy of their determination letter or tax-exempt
status to ARAMARK before working an event. If a group has a Federal Tax ID number but
does not have a determination letter, they must fill out a Package 1023 from the IRS in order
for the IRS to determine your group’s status. You can log onto the IRS web site or follow the
link: www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/k1023.pdf. Groups who represent schools or churches that are
not classified as a 501 (C) (3) group must turn in a copy of their Georgia State Exemption
Certificate before they work.
Please remember that ARAMARK assumes no responsibility for injuries or medical
expenses incurred by volunteers while working at Turner Field.
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old to work and serve alcohol within the stadium.
LETTER OF INTENT TO VOLUNTEER SERVICES: All non-profit groups must sign a
written statement declaring their intent to volunteer and donate their services to their
organization.
Groups must attend a TEAM class, Orientation and customer service training before working.
The orientation class will include policies and procedures, food safety procedures (ServSafe),
register training (we are implementing a new system this year) and hands-on training. All
volunteers must attend a TEAM (alcohol awareness) class before working. ARAMARK
will terminate any group’s contract if members are caught consuming alcoholic beverages,
selling alcohol to a minor or not following ARAMARK’s alcohol policy.
All volunteers will be required to wear an event day badge in order to gain access to the
stadium. No ID badges are made on event days.

I'm happy to hear you're interested in fund-raising opportunities at Turner Field! Enclosed, you’ll
find detailed information on our fund-raising program and FAQs.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Minimum # of events a group must agree to?
There are no minimums, just remember the more events your group can commit to the more money
you can make!
Minimum # of volunteers needed to staff a concession stand?
You would need a minimum of 2 volunteers to run our smallest type of concession stand, which is
an ice cream stand. Our average size concession stand requires 8 people.
What are the requirements?
All volunteers must be 18 or older. You must show hard copy proof that the government recognizes
your group as a non-profit organization - a copy of your 501c(3). You must have or acquire the
necessary insurance to volunteer at Turner Field. All volunteers must go through customer service
and alcohol training classes. (Training classes typically takes an hour and are done on a variety of
dates, with day and evening hours).
How much money can my group expect to make?
How much your particular group makes depends on: # of events you sign up for, size of your
concession stand(s), weather, interest level in the opposing team, etc. In the past, we've had groups
that have made as little as $50(for 1 event) and as much as $100,000 (for doing all of the home
games).
How long do we have to be at the stadium on game days?
You must arrive at least 4 hours prior to game start time.
*If you and your group decide that you'd like to participate, the 1st step is to send me your
completed Non-Profit Group Information Sheet; Information Sheets are Due by Friday
March 27, 2009.
Sincerely,
Rémy Taylor
